Open Our Country

To those calling it selfish and reckless to reopen our country, to the ones who compare the reopening of our country and the people who are dying from CoVid 19 to abortion and blaming preachers, pastors, and government officials (mainly Trump) for not crying out against reopening this country is so unbelievable. You want a shutdown but you expect your garbage to be picked up, expect stores to be open with food supplies, expect farmers, people who process our foods, to generate our food, expect Amazon to deliver your packages while you sit at home, and be safe. You expect the delivery driver to leave it on your doorstep. You want your Cable, and telephone to work, electricity to stay on,  mail to be delivered in any kind of weather, the doctors and nurses to be there when they are needed, the police to keep doing their job of keeping you safe. The idea is some people want to be safe while others put their life and health on the line to protect them. It is a sad situation. There is nothing patriotic about making trip after trip to Walmart and other places to get whatever you need while screaming to keep the country locked down. With common sense, we can go back to a more normal life. We can catch this virus or any virus at any time. We take a risk every day. If you choose to stay home then do it. That is your choice. Most Americans do not want to see our country crumble. If our country goes down the tube because we are locked down then it will only open the door to many other illnesses and problems which will take far more lives than the CoVid 19 virus. I'm just wondering if all this crying against opening the country back up is mostly politically motivated with just a little bit of hate added in.  I do not put my trust in Trump, the Democrat or Republican parties, Nancy Pelosi, or any other political leader. It is in God I put my trust. Politics should have nothing to do with this pandemic but as you read between the lines with some of the letters to the editor in different newspapers you will soon see it does. If you think the shelves in the supermarkets are bare now you had better be prepared because if this country does not open back up there will be no supermarkets.

The Hate That Will Destroy America

The first American president I can remember since I have been born was Harry Truman. Since then there has been a list of them that have campaigned and were elected to serve the American People. Some never did much while others did a fairly good job. It is never easy making decisions as president of a county like the United States because there will always be those who will disagree and work against the president. But the problem that I see hear with President Trump is not only do people work against him but he is hated. When he was campaigning for the presidency he was hated and after he won he was hated even more. The politicians in Washington did not believe he would be elected. The Democrats and even some Republicans hate Trump because they see him as an outsider. A very big concern for career politicians who want the same old status quo, in other words, the same old existing state of affairs, especially regarding social or political issues. These politicians say they believe in the rule of law which is supposed to govern our land but their actions are far from it. They obstruct ICE and law enforcement. They reject our immigration laws and now they are talking about the rule of law during the impeachment hearings as if they abide by it. They do not believe in the rule of law." They come from sanctuary cities that nullify federal law and they support those cities. They need to read and become educated in the Constitution of our great land. They do not believe in the rule of law which is the principle that all people and institutions in the United States are subject and accountable to, also the law of the land, that it is fairly applied and enforced. Most of the politicians go against the law of the land and try to govern by arbitrary decisions made by some of the government officials. They want to govern by their personal whims rather than the rule of law. Most politicians want what fattens their bank account and the prevailing agenda that will keep them in office. The truth of the matter is they want absolute power with no regard for the rule of law that has governed our land for years. 

For nearly three years the main focus of the Democrat Party, because of their hate, is to belittle and criminalize Trump or other people that he has nominated for an office under his presidency. It is called hate. The big issues of our country have been bypassed by congress because of their hate for Trump. Trump takes no money from the government for a salary but donates it where it is needed. He does not swim in the Washington cesspool and he caters to nobody except the best interest of the American people. He is hated so much that after this impeachment hearing has been dropped it will be something else. On and on it will go until the end of Trump's second term. Then who or what will be Next. Think hard on that one! There is a great percentage of people now who hate this country.  They hate the laws, the Judo Christian beliefs this country is founded on, and basically, they hate everything America stands for. They hate the flag, the president, police officers, the armed forces of this county, Christians, and everything America stands for. Ronald Regan once said this and it is the truth: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction." Never in my lifetime have I ever seen this country filled with so much hate.

Communist Goals for America

Albert S. Herlong Jr. who was a Democrat Congressman from the state of Flordia warned of the socialist-communist agenda infiltrating the American school systems. On January 10, 1963, he read into the Congressional Record, the list of Communist goals for America and I agree with every word he has said. He said this over 56 years ago when there was not all the chaos in our country with the things listed here by the congressman. This was a Democrat speaking not a Republican or an independent. But an honest American who spoke the truth and how true is every word he spoke. The Congressman warned of the socialist-communist agenda that was then starting to infiltrate our schools. Please go to the source listed at the end of this article and read it for your self.  Here is what he said; 

• Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of separation of church and state. 
• Control schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and the current Communist propaganda.
• Soften the curriculum. Get control of the teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks. Control student newspapers.
•  Infiltrate churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion (i.e. "social justice, liberation theology")
• Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch"
• Discredit American culture.
• Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and divorce.
• Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

Since the reading of this in Congress in 1963, our country has done just about 180-degree turn in just about everything that is important to the American people. Our schools are in such bad shape we have to have police officers patrolling the halls, for the most part, to keep kids in line. But the politically correct term is to call them resource officers. We can no longer say anything about Adam and Eve in school but now the new norm is Adam and Steve which is being taught as a normal, natural, and healthy way of life. Some of the children do not know if they are a boy or girl so we have created a number 3 on drivers licenses and birth certificates to help them out. We have liberal professors in our colleges teaching socialism along with their brand of liberalism. We have babies in the womb being murdered and our government upholds the practice while punishing people that kill certain species of wildlife. Where is this country headed to? We have cities called sanctuary cities that defy the federal government and give illegals a place to live and all they need to survive while the homeless and veterans live on the streets in tents. There is so much hate between the elected officials' nothing will ever get done to better this country. This nation is headed down the broad road of destruction with increasing speed. 

The Squad

The old Democrat Party was far too conservative for today's Democratic Party. I read in a local newspaper that "The Squad" brings an energetic style & vitality to the Democratic Party. How wrong the writer of the article was. That goes to show you that you cannot believe everything you read in a newspaper or hear reported to you over the TV. Vitality is the state of being strong & active; in other words, changes that will bring renewed vitality to the party. Here is what "The Squad" advocates and wants brings to the Democrat party: Open borders, doing away with ICE, anti-Semitism, anti Israel, who is this country's  staunch ally, abolishing private health insurance, vastly increasing taxes, eliminating college tuition, doing away with capitalism — a free ride for everyone. 

They incredulously compare the situation at the southern border to concentration camps, which is not only totally disrespectful to Jews in America and throughout the world but is patently obnoxious and absurd. "The Squad" always neglects to look at the facts, as they are too busy grandstanding. Pursuant to a request by Congress last year, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported that illegal aliens in the United States generate more in costs than services to federal, state and local governments combined, in the billions. It's also documented that in 2018, approximately 30% of those charged with serious crimes in custody were illegal aliens. Now let the squad explain this.

The Squad brings the Democratic Party anything but vitality. They bring disruptiveness, divisiveness, and a total lack of accountability to everything they say. Will this be the new Democrat Party in the future or better yet will this be the new America? If the squad has their way there will be no more land of the free.

Baltimore is No longer Charm City

In my opinion, Baltimore is no longer the "Charm City" as some Democrats would have you believe. Just ride through the city and you will soon see Baltimore is, as President Trump said “a very dangerous & filthy place.” Among the largest 30 American cities, Baltimore has the highest crime rate and is a close second to Detroit for the highest rate of violent crime. But for murders, Baltimore is second to no other city, with more than 50 homicides per 100,000 people. That puts Charm City in the ranks of Jamaica, Venezuela, and El Salvador in terms of lethality.


“You would think that you were in a Third World country,” said Bernie Sanders when on a tour of Representative Cummings’s district in 2015. “There are hundreds of buildings that are uninhabitable.” They are not lived in or used. Was it Ted Cruz or Jeff Sessions who sneered, “residents of Baltimore’s poorest boroughs have life spans shorter than people living under a dictatorship in North Korea. That is a disgrace”? No, it was no Republician who said that but a Democratic candidate for president Bernie Sanders, whose comments about Baltimore were not condemned as sickeningly racist, but contemplated as brave reflections on the failure of America to help its struggling communities. So there is the other side of the picture. The one you never hear about because the one who said it was a Democrat.


David Simon, who has grown really really rich from depicting the misery of Baltimore through TV shows like “Homicide” and “The Wire,” condemned Trump’s comments, saying, “If this empty-suit, race-hating fraud had to actually visit West Baltimore for five minutes and meet any of the American citizens who endure there, he’d wet himself.” But doesn’t that mean Trump was right? Sure it does. How do you deal with people like this guy? I sure he fell off a turnip truck.The Democrats and the liberal news have said that it’s unfair for President Trump to blame Elijah Cummings for his district’s miseries, since congressmen don’t control local issues


like trash pickup or law enforcement. But when you look into Cummings' career you will soon see as I did that he is a Democratic power broker in Baltimore, which,by the way, has been run by a succession of failed Democrat mayors—one of whom stole gift cards meant for poor children and another who “sold” thousands of copies of her unreadable book to the public hospital system. Local state’s attorney Marilyn Mosby is credited with bungling the investigation into the death of Freddie Gray. You never hear the real stories behind those things. Cummings is an integral part of a corrupt, dysfunctional political machine that is directly responsible for Baltimore’s misery. Sad to say, but it is the truth. Even though there is an outcry by the Democrats against Trump he is right in what he is saying. Thank God there is a man that will stand in the gap and speak the truth.


It doesn’t have to be the way it is. Cummings’s district has, for the most part, high rates of college education and home values, and many solid employers, like Johns Hopkins. The failure to develop and upgrade the failed parts of the district lies with people like Elijah Cummings, whose four decades in elected office have been a long story of wasted opportunities and neglect. After forty years of Cummings leadership, things are worse and not better for sure, but you will never hear that from the liberal news media.

Don't like the United States? You're free to leave

First, I would like to address the issue of many people, including some of the so-called “representatives,” who call our government a democracy, it is not. Our form of government is a republic. Now, on to this paper. It appears, from all the letters and the editorials that have been running in that space that there is a tremendous amount of hate from the left. They lost an election to a businessman, our president, Donald Trump. They have shown total disrespect for the office and the man. They dislike the Constitution and the laws of the land because it doesn’t suit them and for this reason, they should be asked to leave and go back to wherever they came from. Most of the so-called representatives don’t really represent the citizens of this great nation. They are in it for power and the next election. Millions of men and women have fought and died for our way of life and many on the left are out to change that to a socialist form of government. Since this is a free country, all those who don’t like it have the opportunity to leave any time. The media has pounded the drum of hate and racism for so long against the Republicans and conservatives that much of the young and uninformed believe their rhetoric and it started with President Obama who said, “This is not a Christian nation and it is not a good country.” Remember that this is the same man who called his own grandmother “a typical white person,” told the Republicans that “they can sit in the back of the bus,” called an NYC police officer stupid and disrespected John McCain when he said, “Get over it, I won.” Where were all these lefties during this time? They kept their mouths shut even though these comments were racist and bigoted. Has this country gone so far off the course that our founding fathers set that there seems to be no way back or is there still hope for America? Much of our history is being rewritten to appease a certain few and the statues that honor our fallen heroes and remind us of our past, good or bad, are being removed because of a few who get the most attention from the left-wing media. Our children will grow up not knowing anything about our past and how this nation came to be if this kind of rhetoric continues. Anyone born in America is an American, not Iranian, not African, not Asian, not Hispanic. Oh, they may have the bloodline, true, however, they are still American first and should learn our language, our history, our laws, our Constitution and why we are the greatest nation on earth today because someone shed their blood that we can be free.

I cannot Understand

I cannot comprehend or understand — why some of our elected officials in Washington, D.C. (on both sides of the aisle) cannot foresee the many serious problems those caravans nearing our southern border will cause. They do not get it, or do they? Especially, for those (legal) citizens residing in these areas. We are talking about tax paying citizens living close to the border. Have you ever seen the pictures of the illegals aftermath when they leave an area. It looks like a garbage dump. Just go to the internet and check it out. Also check out all the murders, robberies, assault, and the such committed by the illegals which you will never see on the mainstream news media. It will blow your mind.

What a difficult, and possibly dangerous confrontation could take place when the illegal immigrants come Face-to-Face with military troops, and law enforcement officers. What will happen. Many may suffer some degree of injuries, and possibly some fatalities. No side will have victory, and it will only be another DARK DAY in our American history. All this for some illegal votes that will put the Democrats over the top in the upcoming election. That is a sad fact, but the truth. It is the vote not the security of this country that the Democrats are after. What the Democrats want is not in the best interest of this country. In fact they are no longer Democrats, they are socialist, progressives,(new name for communist) who want to destroy the very fiber of our society. It is such a sad day for all of America.

Some learned mathematicians (A lot smarter than I am) have calculated — if you divide the number of persons (young and older) living in our country into the $5.7 billion requested to construct a 165 mile WALL, it comes to about $16 per person. Such a small amount to insure a safe border with no drugs, no illegal criminals, no terrorist, no diseases, and people who do not want to work but feed themselves on our dime. Once the wall is built the honest immigrants will be able to come and be cleared so they can come to this country the right and legal way.

Mister and Miss Elected Officials, isn’t this one time investment of $16 to protect each (and future) constituents’ families, their homes and properties, plus our way of life worth the cost? Or is it more important to you to have the illegal votes or the cheap labor. There is a right way and a wrong way of immigrating to this country. The Democrats are looking at the wrong way

America’s Sad State of Affairs

We have allowed the very people who want to destroy this country To move here by leaps and bounds while supporting them with our tax dollars and even elect three of them to Congress where they have access to classified documents. Our enemies are here and in the gate. No wall is needed here because they are already here and demanding their form of government. I will never understand how people can leave their country because of persecution while waving the flags of their country as they come. We must learn their language because they do not want to or do they have to learn ours. We must accept their God. The very things that we have seen in the middle east are coming here and for the most part are already here.

We have a problem on our southern borders that needs to go away. I for one am not against legal immigration. I want people to come to this country and learn our ways, speak our language and be proud Americans. This is how our country was founded. It was not founded by people sneaking over the borders, illegally and demanding everything for free which is, for the most part, what is happening. No matter what some people say, not all the people crossing our borders are legit. Some of these people bring with them a way of life that is not acceptable and should not be tolerated, such as drugs, bad criminal records, let alone the lawlessness that they unleash when they come here. There are many cases in our court system which can back that up. This country cannot sustain the people crossing our borders or the burden it will cause on the citizens in this country. We need the wall.

The Pope, most Tv actors and members of Congress, who are against the wall have walls around their residence to keep people out. Check it out. For them the walls are good but for you and me (The American People), the walls are not needed. The people in Congress that are against the wall are doing it because all these people will vote for them and their socialist (communist agenda) or else they are against it because it is a Trump Promise and they hate Trump. I do not like everything Trump says or does but he is right on this one. We must build the wall or we will have no country as we know it left for our kids and grandkids.

We have people who have come across our borders illegally (not citizens of this country) and are allowed to vote, get a drivers license, tax refunds (Never figured that one out), food stamps, money for housing, and everything else, and it is all for the vote or the cheap labour. This country can not sustain this type of actions from the illegals or the government that allows it.

Evil has overtaken this country and it is growing by leaps and bounds. We have murdered millions of babies in the wombs of their mother over the past decades but now we are murdering them in the mother’s womb up until the day they are born. How evil this is. We have laws to protect dangered species of animals, but it is okay to kill a baby in the womb. The government is saying the baby is not alive or a person until they are born and breath. All through the Bible God tells us otherwise. If this is the case, as the government says, why is Plan Parenthood harvesting body parts and selling them? What is next? Will the government want to call the old folks and special needs people a burden and get rid of them? Do not laugh because if this country last it will happen. There is a darkness coming over this land.

We have the evil of homosexuals, lesbianism, transgenders, and the like being promoted in our land when we know it is wrong. Our kids are being taught in school that it is just another lifestyle. (Our schools are not what they use to be). Most schools and higher places of learning have a liberal agenda.) The Holy Scriptures tell us that. And if you do not want to read them just common sense will tell you none of this is right. God created Male and female, (Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve) I guess soon we will be told that round pegs will fit into square holes.

We have an evil that has come over this land and we need not look at the politicians to solve the problem because they are part of the problem. They need to go. We must clean the swamp. But the real problem is we have, for the most part, are spineless preachers who will not stand up in the pulpit and preach what saith the Lord. They are more worried about money and the numbers of their congregations. When we have a preacher of a church with 40,000 members that will not say homosexuality is a sin on national TV the church is in trouble big time.

Democrats aren't losing faith in our constitutional system, they just don't like it

In liberals’ imaginations, there are only four ways to lose elections — and none has to do with their leftist turn, their hysterics or their one-dimensional identity politics. Democrats say they lose because of gerrymandering, voter suppression (sometimes known as asking for ID), Russian mind-control rays deployed by social media, and our antiquated and unfair Constitution. That last excuse is becoming increasingly popular among pundits who continue to invent new crises to freak out about.

Take Vox’s Ezra Klein, a longtime champion of direct democracy: “I don’t think people are ready for the crisis that will follow if Democrats win the House popular vote but not the majority,” he tweeted before the midterms. “After Kavanaugh, Trump, Garland, Citizens United, Bush v. Gore, etc, the party is on the edge of losing faith in the system (and reasonably so).”

The “House popular vote” now joins the “national popular vote” and “Senate popular vote” as fictional gauges of governance used by Democrats who aren’t brave enough to say they oppose the fundamental anti-majoritarianism that girds the Constitution.

Otherwise, why would Democrats lose faith in a “system” that is doing exactly what was intended? The Constitution explicitly protects small states (and individuals) from national majorities. The argument for diffusing democracy and checking a strong federal government is laid out in The Federalist Papers and codified on an array of levels. This was done on purpose. It is the system.

I mean, do Democrats really believe that the Electoral College was constructed to always correspond with the national vote? Do they believe that the signers of the Constitution were unaware that some states would be far bigger than others in the future? If the Founding Fathers didn’t want Virginia to dictate how people in Delaware lived in 1787, why would they want California to dictate how people in Wyoming live in 2018? If you don’t believe that this kind of proportionality is a vital part of American governance, you don’t believe in American governance.

You can despise Brett Kavanaugh all you like, but why would Democrats lose faith in “the system” that saw Republicans follow directions laid out in the Constitution for confirming a Supreme Court nominee? Why would Democrats lose faith in “the system” that elected Donald Trump using the same Electoral College that every other president used? Why would they lose faith in a system that houses a Supreme Court that stops the other branches from banning political speech? When the Supreme Court affirmed the election of George W. Bush, it turned out to be the right call.

It’s because they see the system as a way to achieve partisan goals, not as a set of politically neutral idealistic values.

It’s not a civics problem, either. One hopes that such liberal activists as NBC News’ Ken Dilanian, who wonders “how much longer the American majority will tolerate being pushed around by a rural minority,” understand sixth-grade civics. New York Times columnist Paul Krugman surely knows that the Constitution doesn’t give “disproportionate weight” to smaller states. It intentionally gives all states the same weight in the Senate. Krugman only finds this idea “disproportionate” because it protects millions of Americans from the centralized coercive state that he envisions for them. The disproportionality he sees merely reflects his own concerns. It has nothing to do with the system.

Also, rural America doesn’t bully people such as Dilanian. The federal government was never supposed to be this powerful. Those in non-”forward-moving” America — those dummies Krugman would like to nanny from Washington — don’t very much care how Dilanian lives. He, on the other hand, has big plans for them.

It should be noted that these majoritarians throw millions of Americans aside to make this argument. We don’t know how a national majority would vote. There are many millions of Republicans in New York and California who don’t involve themselves in the futility of state politics. Those who rely on a “Senate popular vote” are being particularly dishonest, considering California didn’t have a Republican on the ballot Tuesday. There are more Republicans in California than there are in Wyoming.

But as you can see on Election Day, liberals have made “democracy” — a word mentioned zero times in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence — into a sacramental rite. Getting more votes in an election outweighs the inherent rights of liberty that are laid out in our founding documents — unless, of course, a right happens to intersect with some advantageous partisan idea, e.g., birthright citizenship; then Democrats become strict originalists.

The only reason these folks who claim to want to save Constitution from Trump see crisis in the system is that it fails to deliver for them politically. They’re not losing faith in the system. They just don’t like the system.

HOW COULD A MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL WRITE THIS AND WHY WAS MY RESPONSE TO IT NOT PRINTED UNTIL THE DAY AFTER THE ELECTION. ? FOR THE PAST WEEK THE ONLY THING PRINTED (99%) IS ANTI TRUMP) BECAUSE ELECTION IS TOMORROW. BELOW THE NEWSPAPER ARTICLE IS MY RESPONSE TO REV. LEES LETTER

America loses if GOP wins

I am a 75, almost 76, year old minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I am an African-American who grew up in the Jim Crow era in America.

I thought I had gotten used to the hatred, the mean looks and the prejudicial attitude but it appears to be getting worse since Donald Trump became president. If you don't believe it, walk a mile in my color.
Donald Trump is more concerned about Donald Trump. His agenda is about me, my and I. He doesn't really care bout his supporters. He is a con man and they are being flim-flammed. It's really his wallet that he is concerned about.
A vote for the Republican Party is a vote for Donald Trump and a vote for Donald Trump is a vote for cuts in Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, no health care insurance, new diseases caused by deregulation of everything that needs to be regulated to keep us safe, contaminated drinking water, pollution like you have never seen before, crumbling infrastructure, and no pre-existing conditions being covered.
This election is not a joke. If you really care about this country and democracy we all better take it seriously.
What is this president teaching our children? It's okay to lie, it's okay to be a big bully, it's okay to disrespect women and little girls as long as you win. It doesn't matter how you win. It doesn't matter if the Republican Party uses corruptive tactics to suppress voter registration. If the Republicans win, America loses.
And for all you haters, you can't take that hate to Heaven with you. God is Love. Think about it!


This letter is in response to Sarah Lee’s letter to the Star Democrat on Thursday. “How much easier it is to be critical than to be correct.” Therefore, to set the record straight, I wanted to address some of the criticism directed towards Trump. What has become worse since Donald Trump has become President? The hate is from the liberals and the Democrat party, not President Trump. They are the ones who are spreading the hate. Since you have brought religion into this you as a minister of the Gospel should recognize this and Call for the good. Why do you as a minister of the Gospel align yourself to a party that promotes just about everything the Bible Condemns? I do not have to walk a mile in your colour as you have stated. I have walked many a mile in my own colour which is white and I have had many a trouble in my lifetime. I was poor, bullied by others because of being poor and looked at as second class, but yet by God’s Grace I arose above that. There are many people like me that rose above the hate and the bullying. The hate is getting worse in this country but Donald Trump is not causing it. Donald Trump’s agenda is not about his self or his wallet. It is about the American people and what is right. He has done so much already for this country, while not taking a cent in pay. More people in this country and this includes the black people have gone back to work and unemployment is at an all-time low. The economy is thriving. There is an all-time high of black people joining the Republican Party. How can one blame Trump for our crumbling infrastructure when it has been there for many a year and our inner cities are crumbling not because of Trump but by the management of the elected officials who are in most cases are Democrats. And you say Trump is disrespecting women. You are wrong again. I would say any party or president that promotes men using the woman’s bathroom is by far disrespecting woman. You are right this election is no joke. A vote for President Trump is a vote for America. Hate comes in many forms and should never be tolerated in any form. You are right you cannot take hate to heaven with you. You also cannot stand with people that go against what the Bible teaches and expect to go to Heaven.

Democrats Lie And Mis-lead Again.

 There was an article in our local newspaper (The Star Democrat) on October 19, 2018, called (“Time for Plan B,”). The person who wrote the article stated that Senator McConnell who is a Republican indicates that the only way to cover the $1.5 trillion deficit created by the tax cut is to cut Medicare and Social Security. That statement is far from the truth and just another false statement to help the democrat cause.

First of all, at this point, it is not certain there will be a deficit as large as some of the Democrats say. But there again one lie is as good as the next This number or the estimated amount of deficit at best is speculation and a theory put forth by the Democrat Party for election purposes. Every day, as the election grows closer we see on liberal television stations many times during the day an advertisement run by Democrat State Senator Jennifer Wexton running against Barbara Comstock for U.S. Representative in Virginia that the Republicans are cutting Social Security and Medicare. This is a misleading statement which I would like to call an out and out lie! Something the Democrats are very good at.

It is misleading statements like this and others that have been reported by the Democrats as far back as 1992 when Ross Perot was running for president as an independent. The Democrats have worn this untrue comment about Social Security out long before now. Voters have seen through this kind of trickery already so they might want to get off of it.

The Washington Post reported the following this week

On Wednesday, McConnell told a group of reporters that he did not foresee an effort to cut Medicare and other programs under Trump, who has put Medicare and Social Security largely off limits. Trump himself said again in an Associated Press interview this week that “I’m not touching Social Security.”

But Democrats are telling voters that McConnell’s remarks signal plans for an all-out assault on the retirement and health care programs that millions of older and low-income Americans rely on. After Judge Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation process and Republicans’ attempts to go on offence over what they’ve characterized as liberal “mob rule,” Democrats jumped at the chance to redirect the conversation.  It is this kind of behaviour by the Democrats that are going to assure them that they are going to come up very short on Nov. 6. I believe the public has had more than enough of this distorted reporting by both the Democrat politicians and the mainstream media. Both are truly a threat to our country and as far as I am concerned are evil and news is no news at all when it is lies. I fully expect that the Republicans will hold on to their lead in the House and pick up between 6 to 8 seats in the Senate. If the Democrats thought the 2016 election results were a shock, they are very apt to be extremely shocked on the morning of Nov. 7.

We were tolerant, now they are not

As I sat last night and thought about the changes to our country during my lifetime of 72 years, I have realized this, the USA has almost done a 180-degree turn in her principles, her values, and our way of life. The values and principles that made this country great. Now I also realize this country on its present course will be reaping the winds of destruction. 

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, a few dissatisfied and discontented students chose not to stand during the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag and not to bow their heads during the moment of silence. The rest of us didn't like it much, but we tolerated and put up with it. When you give an inch the devil will take a mile.

Their numbers grew. They started burning flags. The flag of this nation that men died defending. We didn't like it, but we tolerated it. They made fun of our faith in God. The God who blessed our forefathers as they built this country according to His word. We didn't like it, but we tolerated it.

Now if we wear a cross, go to church, or honor God in any way to show where our faith lies, they don't tolerate us. If we stand to say the Pledge of Allegiance, they don't tolerate us. If we stand and bow our heads to pray, they don't tolerate us. If we raise our flags and display them, they don't tolerate us, because you see, tolerance, in this country, is only one-sided ... and those who tolerate become the enemies of those who do not.

The Annapolis Tragedy

I read part of this article in THE STAR DEMOCRAT newspaper, in the letters to the editor section, and because it was such a good article I just wanted to add my thoughts to what was a  very good piece of writing by Craig Willis.

Thank heavens we live in Maryland, a state with some of the toughest gun control laws in the country. I for one feel much safer. Maryland is one of only six states to receive an A+ rating from the Gifford’s Law Center for its tough gun control laws. Yet these laws couldn’t prevent the recent tragedy in Annapolis where several newspaper reporters were killed by a shotgun toted by a man holding a grudge, our hearts go out to the victims and their families.

In the days just after the mass shooting at the newspaper in Annapolis, the media is almost silent, many of the papers not issuing follow-up stories as the facts of this case don’t support the left’s false narrative. As most Americans know most newspapers have sided with the left and their fake news. If you are a conservative you must search for the truth. In the STAR DEMOCRAT, the follow-up articles on shootings have been so unbelievable. Most of them talk about how newspaper reporters are right there with our police, firefighters, and soldiers in harm’s way. At one time that might have been so but now most of the papers are” fake news outlets” not giving you all the facts.

For example, any state like Maryland, with all these tough gun laws, is ineffective in stopping any of this senseless violence, but you hear nothing of this in the news. Baltimore was recently announced to be the most dangerous city in the country, having 135 gun-related deaths to date. Also, the Annapolis tragedy was enacted by a person who had a longstanding feud with the newspaper. Original reports by numerous left of center media outlets blamed President Trump due to his attacks on fake news! Now we find out that the gunman was entangled in a long-term legal feud with the paper and didn’t prevail in his lawsuit against them. But the left and the fake news outlets want to blame President Trump.

“Back in the day,” Cronkite, Reasoner, and Brinkley would have backed up their story with facts before airing any report, because, “that’s the way it was,” period.

Finally, this shooter used a shotgun, also not fitting the narrative that banning assault rifles is the Holy Grail of cures. Sad to say many a person feeds into this deceiving cure for all the gun problems thanks to the help of fake news.

Many Republican voters in the state of Maryland are now waiting to see which way Larry Hogan, the governor of Maryland goes related to siding with the left and creating and supporting even more stringent gun laws. These laws clearly only take constitutional rights away from law-abiding citizens. In November, regardless of your party affiliation, vote for the rule of law and preserving the Constitution

Working Toward The Right Solution

In Sundays Star Democrat newspaper Mr. Pifer wrote a very interesting article that for the most part I totally disagree with. It sounded like it came straight from the Democrat handbook. The rhetoric is always the same, no matter if it comes from Democrats or Republicans. Each party has their ideas about The NRA, The Guns, and violence. The Democrats, for the most part, want guns gone. They would have you believe it is the gun that causes the evil when people are needlessly shot, Every time we turn around we have more gun laws passed and for what? Some of the largest cities in our country have not only the strictest gun laws but also the highest gun-related deaths. So why are we passing more gun laws? The Republicans would have you to believe it is an American right to own and bear arms. They are correct in saying that because it is true, but it does not give anyone the right to just go out on the street and kill our kids in school and people at their workplace. People like this do not need guns. They do not even need to be on the street. If we wait on the people in THE SWAMP better known as Washington to solve the gun problem it will never get solved and it will only grow worse. All we will ever hear is the same talk from both parties.

The solution to this problem starts in the home at an early age. The home, as I have said many times before, is the building blocks of this country. We need to put fathers back in the homes. The preachers and pastors must take a stand in their churches for what is right. The value system of this country must be grounded, as it once was, in the Word of God. As a people, we are heading down the broad road that is leading to the destruction of this country. We cannot want peace and happiness but do everything that goes against it.

We cannot have gun control or gun safety on our streets when in just about every home there are violent video games being played. Arguments between the kids about who killed the most people in the games. We are teaching our kids to kill starting in the home by letting them play these games. We have kids who will not obey their parents and do what they want to do. When there is no respect in the home how can there be respect for other people? We did not get to this place overnight and we will not stop this violence overnight. But we must start by not only following the laws of this great country but we must take heed and follow God’s Laws

Freedom is Only One Generation From Extinction

If you don’t like the way things are in this country, like for example a constitutional law that should be no problem, just enact new statutory laws to supersede the things you do not like. The Democrats do it all the time. It is called moves and counter moves. For example, A few weeks back, the state of Connecticut’s legislature passed the “National Popular Vote compact.”, and the Democratic Governor Is expected to sign it into law. At least twelve states have passed the same kind of laws or similar measures to undermine and weaken the law as it relates to the way the electoral votes are awarded. The measure simply states that the majority winner of the popular presidential vote will be granted all of that state’s electoral votes, regardless of how the individual voting districts vote.

Many blue states are also considering lowering the legal voting age to 16, and a few more extreme states are pushing for illegal aliens and undocumented people to be granted the right to vote. This may seem unreal but it’s a fact. Keep in mind that a good portion of our young people came out in record numbers in support of Bernie Sanders, regardless of the numerous failed socialist societies throughout Europe and South America that he was pushing.. These young voters want social equality through socialist policy. The sad truth is, if Sanders would have won, he would have not been able to deliver on any of his campaign promises, as our legislators just aren’t quite there yet. But in another 10 years, who knows, If things do not change in this country.

Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” You should have to be a taxpaying productive member of society for a few years in order to be granted the right to vote. The sad thing is right now the Democrat party is pushing for as many young people as they can to register and vote, most young people in this county are being brainwashed and train by the school systems to vote democratic. This could be the very election year Americans lose their freedom.

One thing that scares the Democratic Party also is the growing number of conservative black voters that are leaving the Democrat party. It has taken more than half a century for many black voters to see through all the broken promises and failed economic policies of the Democrat Party. They were originally conceived to provide social justice out of social inequality. However, after 60 years the experiment is a failure. The Great Society of Lyndon Johnson and the Democrat party does not work and is a complete failure.

The only real solution is jobs and job training opportunities, not free lunches, not free housing, or free cell phones to mention just a few. Why else would you want to give a 16-year-old and illegals the right to vote? The fact is the left’s electorate or their body of voters is shrinking and they are desperate and will do almost anything to make their base bigger. Statutory laws passed by legislatures in many cases don’t pass higher review as they relate to constitutional law, but it takes a long, long time for these cases to be challenged and make their way to the Supreme Court. A lot of hurts could be put on this country before these things could be stopped. Once again freedom is only one generation from extinction,

What is A Civil War?

How do civil wars happen?

Two or more sides disagree on who runs the country. And they can't settle the question through elections because they don't even agree that elections are how you decide who's in charge. That's the basic issue here. Who decides who runs the country? When you hate each other but accept the election results, you have a country. When you stop accepting election results, you have a countdown to a civil war.

The Mueller investigation is about removing President Trump from office and overturning the results of an election. We all know that. But it's not the first time they've done this. The first time a Republican president was elected this century, they said he didn't really win. The Supreme Court gave him the election. There's a pattern here.

What do sure odds of the Democrats rejecting the next Republican president really mean? It means they don't accept the results of an election (or any election ) that they don't win. It means they don't believe that transfers of power in this country are determined by elections.

That's a civil war.

There's no shooting. At least not unless you count the attempt to kill a bunch of Republicans at a charity baseball game practice. But the Democrats have rejected our system of government.

This isn't dissent. It's not disagreement. You can hate the other party. You can think they're the worst thing that ever happened to the country. But then you work harder to win the next election. When you consistently reject the results of elections that you don't win, what you want is a dictatorship.

Your very own dictatorship.

The only legitimate exercise of power in this country, according to Democrats, is its own. Whenever Republicans exercise power, it's inherently illegitimate. The Democrats lost Congress. They lost the White House. So what did they do? They began trying to run the country through Federal judges and bureaucrats. Every time that a Federal judge issues an order saying that the President of the United States can't scratch his own back without his say so, that's the civil war.

Our system of government is based on the constitution, but that's not the system that runs this country. The Democrat's system is that any part of government that it runs gets total and unlimited power over the country.

If the Democrats are in the White House, then the president can do anything. And I mean anything. He can have his own amnesty for illegal aliens. He can fine you for not having health insurance. He can use the IRS as his own police force and imprison citizens who speak against him. He can provide guns and money (Fast and Furious) (Iran nuclear deal) to other countries to support his own agenda, and watch while one of America's ambassadors is dragged through the streets and murdered doing nothing to aid our citizens. His power is unlimited. He's a dictator.

But when Republicans get into the White House, suddenly the President can't do anything. He isn't even allowed to undo the illegal alien amnesty that his predecessor illegally invented. A Democrat in the White House has 'discretion' to completely decide every aspect of immigration policy. A Republican doesn't even have the 'discretion' to reverse him. That's how the game is played That's how our country is run. Sad but true, although the left hasn't yet won that particular fight.

When a Democrat is in the White House, states aren't even allowed to enforce immigration law. But when a Republican is in the White House, states can create their own immigration laws. Under Obama, a state wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom without asking permission. But under Trump, Jerry Brown can go around saying that California is an independent republic and sign treaties with other countries.
The Constitution has something to say about that.

Whether it's Federal or State, Executive, Legislative or Judiciary, the power of the left move around to run the country. If it controls an institution, then that institution is suddenly the supreme power in the land. This is what I call a moving dictatorship.

Donald Trump has caused the Shadow Government to come out of hiding: the Professional government is a guild. Like medieval guilds. You can't serve in if you're not a member. If you haven't been indoctrinated into its arcane rituals. If you aren't in the club. And Trump isn't in the club. He brought in a bunch of people who aren't in the club with him.
Now we're seeing what the pros do when amateurs try to walk in on them. They spy on them, they investigate them and they send them to jail. They use the tools of power to bring them down.

That's not a free country.

It's not a free country when FBI agents who support Hillary take out an 'insurance policy' against Trump winning the election. It's not a free country when Obama officials engage in the massive unmasking of the opposition. It's not a free country when the media respond to the other guy winning by trying to ban the conservative media that supported him from social media. It's not a free country when all of the above collude together to overturn an election because the guy who wasn't supposed to win did.

Have no doubt, we're in a civil war between conservative volunteer government and a leftist Democrat professional government.

STILL FEEL DACA IS WONDERFUL?

From a California school teacher…..

As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:

I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language
Department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title-1 school, meaning that its students average in the lower socio-economic and income levels. Most of the schools you are hearing about are South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc., where their students are protesting – these are also Title-1 schools.

Title-1 schools are on the free-breakfast and free-lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I’m not talking about a glass of milk and a roll … But a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make the Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten. (Our tax dollars at work!)
I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more have cell phones.

The school also provides day care centres for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids. (More of our tax dollars at work!)
I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything. My budget was already substantial, but I ended up buying new computers for the Computer Learning Center, half of which, one month later, were carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America. (More and more of our tax dollars at work!)

I have had to intervene several times for young substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months, who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them put as (whores) and throwing things, that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical care, free education, free food, free daycare, etc., etc., etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled not only to be in this country but also to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society, because they happen to like their gardener and/or housekeeper, and they like to pay less for tomatoes, I say: Spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the true costs.

Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases, etc., etc., etc.
For me, I’ll pay more for tomatoes.

America, we need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won’t have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by age 15, and that refuses to assimilate, plus an American culture that has become so weak and worried about “political correctness,” that we don’t have the will to do anything about it.

If this makes your blood boil, as it did mine, forward this to everyone you know including your Congressman and Senators.

Cheap labour? Isn’t that what the whole immigration issue is about? Business doesn’t want to pay a decent wage. Consumers don’t want expensive produce.

The government will tell you ‘Americans don’t want the jobs.’ But the bottom line is cheap labour. The phrase “cheap labour” is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as “cheap labour.”

Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or $6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an income tax return, he gets an “earned income credit” of up to $3,200, free.

In addition:

1. He qualifies for Section-8 housing and subsidized rent
2. He qualifies for food stamps
3. He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care
4. His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school
5. He requires bilingual teachers and books
6. He qualifies for relief from high energy bills
7. If they are, or become aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI
8. Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare (All of this at taxpayer’s {our} expense
9. He doesn’t worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance
10. Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material
11. He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits
12. Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills and his
13. The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.

Cheap labour is such a ruse as to be laughable

Less And Less Middle Ground

Nothing troubles me more than the sheer volume of politicians and municipal administrators who find themselves, by virtue of their party affiliation, forced to support the minority faction of sanctuary cities. There’s less and less middle ground for both Democrats and Republicans in today’s political world.

Adding insult to injury, our youth are being educated and indoctrinated by far left educators. Young people deserve to be taught both sides of current social issues and allowed to decide for themselves. Instead, they are exposed to little or no history, civics or Constitutional law and theory. All of this, over the last 50 years, has produced a faction of the electorate, and the electorate to be, that is seriously challenged when confronted with making informed, educated decisions. In many cases, this faction’s opposition to any opinion contrary to their own results in filibuster, with loud, vulgar and disruptive protests designed to drown out the opposite viewpoint. This lack of understanding of the meaning of the First Amendment, freedom of speech, is one of the most dangerous issues confronting modern U.S. culture. This filibuster also takes the form of the liberal news media. This helps grow the politically challenged faction to even greater size. This is concerning. As James Madison wrote in The Federalist 10, a “Majority Faction” is the greatest single threat to a Republic.

Despite all of this, the economy is strong, the stock market stable, unemployment is low and more companies gave bonuses last year than in the prior ten years. The president’s strong stance on North Korea has brought them to the negotiations table. Illegal immigration is at an all-time low since statistics have been gathered. The steel and aluminium tariffs are bringing all players to the table, which will result in better trade deals for the U.S.

Yet the faction still grows, caring less about facts or realities than about a singular fixation upon removing the president from office. It took time, money and the Supreme Court to overturn the erroneous decisions of the Ninth Circuit Court. What a breach of trust with the American taxpayer. These partisan, leftist judges have an obligation to be apolitical and uphold the Constitution. They blatantly refused. The FBI & DOJ are guilty of the same.

We may not be fighting in the streets yet but I fear we will be. We fought one civil war where a majority faction divided the country. Once again, our nation is being put to the test. In the second line of Lincoln’s Gettysburg address, he states, “Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived, and so dedicated, can long endure.” That is the question that every Republic must answer. This new civil war will be about an extreme leftist government dismantling our Bill of Rights one piece at a time. We are conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. We must re-dedicate ourselves to the education of our youth in the fundamentals of our nation’s history and government or face a setback of enormous proportion.

When is it UnAmerican

Our country was founded on principles that all men are created equal. Our founding fathers were visionaries and sought to assure all citizens the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, today we have groups that will deny others the right to life, deny others their liberty, and only think they themselves should be able to pursue happiness. Friends, so much of what I see in our country today crushes these values America was built upon.
When a senator can shed tears on the senate floor because there is a policy to vet refugees from terror sponsored countries but remains dry eyed when millions of innocent babies are murdered in the womb—that is un-American.
When our homeless go hungry while illegal aliens can come into this country and receive food stamps, welfare and shelter—that is Un-American
When our elderly must choose between eating or buying their medications while abortions and transgender surgeries are paid for with tax payer money—that is Un-American.
When our troops go without proper equipment while celebrities and athletes protest our country and national anthem—that is un-American.
When our veterans go without benefits that were promised but billions of dollars are given to countries that hate us—that is Un-American.
When Christian companies are forced to compromise their faith and values by serving same sex weddings while other businesses can say, “if you support traditional marriage, don’t shop here.”—that is Un-American.
When radical groups like BLM and anti fa can riot, burn cities and kill or injure people but citizens are prosecuted and persecuted for speaking out against them—that is Un-American.
When a black criminal disobeys law enforcement and is shot by police and there is a public outcry while police officers are shot everyday for doing their jobs and media is silent—that is Un-American.
When the media takes it upon itself to slant the news and tell us what to think instead of reporting the news and trusting us to decide for ourselves what to think—that is Un-American.
When liberal head explodes at the use of a word in describing a third world country while cities in this country resemble these third world countries and nothing is being done to improve the lives of citizens in these cities— that is Un-American.
When a political party would rather protect 8,000 illegal aliens than protect the citizens of this country and even go as far to threaten a government shut-down and deprive the elderly and military of their money— that is Un-American.
It appears that some of our leaders are more concerned about themselves and the special interest groups that has bought them  than the citizens that elected them and that is not only Un-American but unacceptable to the the citizens of this country that are counting on the leadership.
Friends, I have been told that, as a Christian, I should not be political. I am not a political person but what I see goes beyond politics. It is now about our survival as a country and the fabric of our way of life. I once read “All it takes for evil to spread is for good men to do nothing.” I am only trying to do my small part to stop the spread of evil.
