The New 'Untouchables'?

Image result for the untouchables

Back in 1927, Eliot Ness, an officer with the U.S. Treasury Department, went to Chicago to fight crime. He winnowed his team of agents down to eleven, whom he had investigated and deemed incorruptible, earning them the name “The Untouchables." They were men of integrity. Getting past the movies about these men we can read in many articles about how true they were to their position and to the United States of America. They had no interest but to clean up a City of corrupt officials.

Watching the news for the last year we can see and hear recent discoveries and revelations of the leadership at the FBI and DOJ, we now have a new breed of “The Untouchables," not because of their integrity, but because of their stalling, lying and deceiving of the American people, obsfucation and outright unbelievable testimony. Here are a few examples of how the American people are deceived and lied to by the new breed of untouchables.
  • “I did not think that bias was expressed in those text messages” — Peter Strzok
  • “No sir, not wittingly” — James Clapper when asked “Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions of … Americans?”
  • Andrew McCabe, fired for lack of candour at least four times. Candour defined as Unreserved, honest, sincere expression, forthrightness.
  • When asked by Sen. Diane Feinstein if the CIA “violated the separation of powers principles embodied in the United States Constitution," John Brennan said, “As far as allegations and the charges of, you know, CIA hacking into, you know, Senate computers, nothing could be further from the truth …” This was proven to be a Lie.

The above-cited leaders present as models of virtue and truth fall way short of being truthful. They become angry if questioned about their credibility or their veracity. They are The New Untouchables, above bias, above the people, above questioning, above oversight or overlooking certain questions of breaking the law. In their minds, because of their positions, they think they are above the law. they are indeed above the laws that every other citizen is subject to in this country. These are the "NEW UNTOUCHABLES", a far cry from the real thing, the real untouchables. These men are more like the Gestapo and KGB. Both agencies answered to no one but the leaders of the country and they did and said what they wanted to without any repercussions. Do that begin to sound familiar?
We should all long for the real Untouchables as in the 1920’s, not this deceitful, arrogant, unrepentant new breed that is deceiving the American people. But how can that happen as we turn our attention to the government itself? The truth has to flow from the top and that has not been happening.

More Logic From A Die Hard Democrat

Mike Brown’s commentary in Friday’s addition to the Star Democrat needs a response. By reading his articles over the past months a person can see he is a diehard Democrat and it makes no difference what is done in this country for the good if a Democrat did not do it or propose it then Mr. Brown, being a good Democrat, will be against it. This even includes articles about Republican campaign signs which he also wrote an article about in one of his past articles. So we have gone from campaign signs to treason in about a week. As an independent voter, I am not for or against any political party but some articles can go a little too far. All politicians make mistakes and they also say some things they wish they never said, but that does not make them a criminal. Shall we put Hillary Clinton and other Democrats on the list as criminals to be investigated for things they have done wrong or lied about?  Or should they get a pass because after all, their last name is not Trump?
Mr. Brown suggests that Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to our country. Mr. Brown also suggests correcting this problem about President Trump that we vote for Democrats in November so Democrats can take back Congress and launch real investigations into President Trump’s crimes and misdeeds. Sad to say he has named the Democrats agenda for the upcoming election. That is how bad the Democrats and some Republicans hate President Trump. They would rather run on a platform of "HATE TRUMP" than the problems facing our country.
And who are the Democrats that we should vote for? Should we vote for Hillary Clinton (A proven liar and is a criminal), Nancy Pelosi (who said we must sign it to know what is in it), Maxine Waters (What can you say just a plain nut), or maybe we can find another president like Barry Soetoro, aka Barrack Obama (Who is a proven liar and a deceiver) to be our leaders to investigate Donald Trump? Yes, let us take Mr. Brown's idea because we need leaders like them to finish what they started years ago.

As an independent, I will vote for Trump if he runs again because he is truly making this country of ours great again with jobs, Security, and a sense of pride for our country. I am glad that Donald Trump is not a member of the Swamp in Washington where the Democrats, Republicans, lobbyist, progressives, socialist, and the behind the scenes elites are because I then would have some problem with him. We need to use common sense when we use the word criminal because we would have to add many politicians to that. The list is long and the swamp is full so we will not go there in this short space.

I am a diehard American who believes in this great country of ours. I also believe Donald Trump is the man to move this country forward just as Kennedy did back in the Sixties. After all the crying and hate speeches and at the end of his second term Americans will see how great of a job he has done and that is the way history will record it.

Maryland's Gun Control

The state of Maryland is at the top of all the states with restrictive policies as it relates to law-abiding citizens obtaining concealed carry permits. For example when I was Police Chief in St.Michaels, Maryland (about 40 years ago) I was a sworn police officer and was responsible for all the men in the police department and the safety of the town, but when I wanted to buy a handgun I had to go thru the same background check and the same waiting period, as the person on the street every time I wanted to by a gun, which was not very often. I was trusted to wear a sidearm while on duty and a concealed weapon off duty, but not to buy a gun. This policy might have changed over the years since that time but that is the way it was when I was a police officer.
To go another step further when I left law enforcement I could not get a concealed weapons permit even though I had numerous threats on my life by people I arrested and sent to prison. I did my duty in keeping the people safe but my safety afterwards was not important to the State of Maryland.
Maryland is also way down the list on serving out stiff punishments for crimes committed with guns by offenders and repeat offenders. While they cannot agree on how to solve the issue of mass shootings, one would think that the murder rate on the streets of Baltimore would be an easier fix. The same is true in cities across the country. Where is the left's outrage on this issue? Why do they not put their attention on demanding stiffer penalties related to crimes committed with guns instead of making more gun laws that never work? Maryland HB 1302 was recently passed by the state legislature. It provides far-reaching implications for the state to confiscate guns from peoples without the financial ability to defend themselves in court. I know because I read the bill, and while I disagree with much of that newly proposed law it will probably get signed into law this October.
The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution says, “The People’s right to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” However, in the people’s republic of Maryland, overrun by the left and a Republican Governor who is good on some things but not on gun laws. Their only centre of attention is on slowly taking away at our constitutional right to bear arms.

America's Real Men

Image may contain: one or more people
Take a little trip to Valley Forge in January. Hold a musket ball in your fingers and imagine it piercing your flesh and breaking a bone or two. There won't be a doctor or trainer to assist you until after the battle, so just wait your turn. Take your cleats and socks off to get a real experience.

Then, take a knee on the beach in Normandy where man after American man stormed the beach, even as the one in front of him was shot to pieces, the very sea stained with American blood. The only blockers most had were the
dead bodies in front of them, riddled with bullets from enemy fire.

Take a knee in the sweat-soaked jungles of Vietnam. From Khe Sanh to Saigon anywhere will do. Americans died in all those jungles. There was no playbook that told them what was next, but they knew what flag they represented. When they came home, they were protested as well, and spit on
for reasons only cowards know.

Take another knee in the blood-drenched sands of Fallujah in 110-degree heat. Wear your Kevlar helmet and battle dress. Your number won't be printed on it unless your number is up! You'll need to stay hydrated but there won't be anyone to squirt Gatorade into your mouth. You're on your own.

There are a lot of places to take a knee where Americans have given their lives all over the world. When you use the banner under which they fought as a source for your displeasure, you dishonour the memories of those who
bled for the very freedoms you have. That's what the red stripes mean. It represents the blood of those who spilled a sea of it defending your liberty.
While you're on your knee, pray for those that came before you, not on a manicured lawn striped and printed with numbers to announce every inch of the ground taken, but on nameless hills and bloodied beaches and sweltering forests and bitter cold mountains, every inch marked by an American life lost serving that flag you protest.
No cheerleaders, no announcers, no coaches, no fans, just American men and women, delivering the real fight against those who chose to harm us, blazing a path so you would have the right to "take a knee." You haven't any inkling of what it took to get you where you are, but your "protest" is
duly noted. Not only is it disgraceful to a nation of real heroes, it serves the purpose of pointing to your ingratitude for those who chose to defend you under that banner that will still wave long after your jersey is retired.
If you really feel the need to take a knee, come with me to church on Sunday and we'll both kneel before Almighty God. We'll thank Him for preserving this country for as long as He has We'll beg forgiveness for our ingratitude for all He has provided us. We'll appeal to Him for understanding and wisdom. We'll pray for liberty and justice for all because
He is the one who provides those things. But there will be no
protest. There will only be gratitude for His provision and a plea for His continued grace and mercy on the land of the free and the home of the brave. It goes like this, GOD BLESS AMERICA!

The Profound Issue of Our Times

Recently in a local news paper in the letter to the editor section the following letter appeared and following is my response to the letter.

Guns. The profoundest issue of our times. And why such near universal misapprehension and indifference to the most supreme of all human values, the reality and meaning of life itself? Life, the majesty of existence. How do we forgive ourselves so naively for our careless, uncomprehending ingratitude, when the greatest of all our treasures, beloved life, so tough yet so fragile, so valiant and indispensable, is cavalierly extinguished daily, blindly, mindlessly, the world over? Guns. The paramount reckoning.  Star Democrat News Paper  {July 16, 2018)
              __________________________________________
I disagree agree with a statement made by Georgie Morris Garbisch in the Monday addition to the Letters to the editor section.  The profound issue of our time is not guns. Liberals make it their issue. I do agree with the statement she made in which she said Life is the most supreme of all human values and for one I think it should be taken very seriously. I agree that Life as we know it is taken away daily and it is a shame. But truthfully the letter was not about life but about guns as being the culprit that takes away life. Guns do kill, but so does knives, boxcutters, ice picks, screwdrivers, and many other things. The problem is you never hear about them on national TV or the news. For example, in the state of Idaho, last week nine children at a party were stabbed with a knife and very little was heard about it. If a gun was used we would still be hearing about it. How many murders and killings happen in our major cities by other means than guns? They happen all the time but we never hear about it because it is not gun involved. There is a paramount reckoning coming to this country for all the killings gun related or by other means. The gun is not the most dangerous issue in America today. The most dangerous place in America today is the womb.

There are more babies killed by abortion a day than all other combined killings and that includes guns. The number of abortions reported by the Guttmacher Institute in the U.S. for 2014 is 926,200. This equates to 2,538 abortions each day. Induced Abortion in the United States . This is so staggering when you think about it. Close to a million babies are killed a year by abortion in America, but to the writer of the Star Democrat article the profound issue of our times is guns.

AMERICA -The Reckoning

Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more (Judges 10:13)

I have really been thinking about our country a lot lately and how this once beautiful land filled with God's Blessings has turned her back on Him and on just about everything that is right and good. This reminds me of Israel in Biblical days and how she turned her back on God. We all know what happened to Israel for turning her back on God. Will America be any different? No! The effects of all the sins past and present in this country are mounting up and all America will feel the effects. This country is about to be called to account for the sins and trespasses committed by the government and her people. We must not forget the church and her failure to cry out against the sin and lift up a standard against it.

Most people in this country cannot decern right from wrong. They think good is bad and bad is good. In America, it is good to promote homosexuals, to allow them to become members of our churches and in some cases stand behind the pulpit as a church leader. It is against the law to cry out against it because it is a hate crime to do so. Most churches remain silent and because of this the Holy Spirit has left the church and you see no one healed or set free from their sins. It is sad when there are megachurches with thousands attending and all they hear is a motivational speaker and go home the same way they came. LOST AND UNDONE WITHOUT GOD OR HIS SON!

To take God's beautiful rainbow that He has given us as a promise and use it to promote sin is blasphemy against God and His Word. The Government tells the people that transgenders, crossdressers, homosexuals, lesbians, and the like of such are just another lifestyle.  This is even taught in our public schools. It is no longer Adam and Eve, but now it is Adam and Steve when the Bible clearly tells us God made them male and female. What do we want to be "politically correct or "Biblically correct"?

The killing of unborn babies in their mother's womb (better known as Abortion)  in this country has destroyed millions of unborn babies during the last decades. It started out first the killing of the unborn babies had to be done in the first few weeks of pregnancy but now it is done in many cases when the baby is full term and ready to be born. We are bombarded on TV with people wanting laws to stop the killing of animals and laws passed to protect them which is all fine and good. The question is where are the people's priorities? The aborting of a baby is called a choice, the women's right. The question is what about the rights of the unborn baby. Did anyone stop to think how many Billy Grahams, Billy Sundays, Bert Clendennens, George Washington, Abe Lincolns and the list goes on that have been aborted.

America, just like Israel was in The Bible days, Has been warned over and over and over, yet does not regard or heed the warnings and will eventually be paid the price of sin and losing God’s protecting hand. This country can look for a severe judgment coming very soon because, like Israel, we have been warned, yet we continue to go downhill to the broad road that leads to and invites destruction.

Old People

I never really liked the terminology "Old People" but this makes me feel better about it.
And if you ain't one, I bet ya you know one!
I got this from an "Old Personal friend of mine"!
"OLD PEOPLE" PRIDE
I'm passing this on as I did not want to be the only "old people" receiving it. Actually, it's not a bad thing to be called, as you will see.
· Old People are easy to spot at sporting events; during the playing of the National Anthem. Old People remove their caps, cover their hearts, stand at attention and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them.
· Old People remember World War II, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, Normandy, and Hitler.. They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing. They remember the 50 plus Peacekeeping Missions from 1945 to 2005, not to mention Vietnam .
· If you bump into an Old People on the sidewalk he will apologize. If you pass an Old People on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady. Old People trust strangers and are courtly to women and treat them with great respect.
· Old People hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection.
· Old People get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like any filth or dirty language on TV or in movies.
· Old People have moral courage and personal integrity. They seldom brag unless it's about their children, grandchildren or their animals.
· It's the Old People who know our great country is protected, not by politicians, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country.
This country needs Old People with their work ethic, sense of responsibility, pride in their country, and decent values.
We need them now more than ever.
Thank God for Old People...
Pass this on to all of the "Old People" you know.
I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.

The Annapolis Tragedy

I read part of this article in THE STAR DEMOCRAT newspaper, in the letters to the editor section, and because it was such a good article I just wanted to add my thoughts to what was a  very good piece of writing by Craig Willis.
Thank heavens we live in Maryland, a state with some of the toughest gun control laws in the country. I for one feel much safer. Maryland is one of only six states to receive an A+ rating from the Gifford’s Law Center for its tough gun control laws. Yet these laws couldn’t prevent the recent tragedy in Annapolis where several newspaper reporters were killed by a shotgun toted by a man holding a grudge, our hearts go out to the victims and their families.
In the days just after the mass shooting at the newspaper in Annapolis, the media is almost silent, many of the papers not issuing follow-up stories as the facts of this case don’t support the left’s false narrative. As most Americans know most newspapers have sided with the left and their fake news. If you are a conservative you must search for the truth. In the STAR DEMOCRAT, the follow-up articles on shootings have been so unbelievable. Most of them talk about how newspaper reporters are right there with our police, firefighters, and soldiers in harm’s way. At one time that might have been so but now most of the papers are” fake news outlets” not giving you all the facts.
For example, any state like Maryland, with all these tough gun laws, is ineffective in stopping any of this senseless violence, but you hear nothing of this in the news. Baltimore was recently announced to be the most dangerous city in the country, having 135 gun-related deaths to date. Also, the Annapolis tragedy was enacted by a person who had a longstanding feud with the newspaper. Original reports by numerous left of center media outlets blamed President Trump due to his attacks on fake news! Now we find out that the gunman was entangled in a long-term legal feud with the paper and didn’t prevail in his lawsuit against them. But the left and the fake news outlets want to blame President Trump.
“Back in the day,” Cronkite, Reasoner, and Brinkley would have backed up their story with facts before airing any report, because, “that’s the way it was,” period.
Finally, this shooter used a shotgun, also not fitting the narrative that banning assault rifles is the Holy Grail of cures. Sad to say many a person feeds into this deceiving cure for all the gun problems thanks to the help of fake news.
Many Republican voters in the state of Maryland are now waiting to see which way Larry Hogan, the governor of Maryland goes related to siding with the left and creating and supporting even more stringent gun laws. These laws clearly only take constitutional rights away from law-abiding citizens. In November, regardless of your party affiliation, vote for the rule of law and preserving the Constitution

Working Toward The Right Solution

In Sundays Star Democrat newspaper Mr. Pifer wrote a very interesting article that for the most part I totally disagree with. It sounded like it came straight from the Democrat handbook. The rhetoric is always the same, no matter if it comes from Democrats or Republicans. Each party has their ideas about The NRA, The Guns, and violence. The Democrats, for the most part, want guns gone. They would have you believe it is the gun that causes the evil when people are needlessly shot, Every time we turn around we have more gun laws passed and for what? Some of the largest cities in our country have not only the strictest gun laws but also the highest gun-related deaths. So why are we passing more gun laws? The Republicans would have you to believe it is an American right to own and bear arms. They are correct in saying that because it is true, but it does not give anyone the right to just go out on the street and kill our kids in school and people at their workplace. People like this do not need guns. They do not even need to be on the street. If we wait on the people in THE SWAMP better known as Washington to solve the gun problem it will never get solved and it will only grow worse. All we will ever hear is the same talk from both parties.
The solution to this problem starts in the home at an early age. The home, as I have said many times before, is the building blocks of this country. We need to put fathers back in the homes. The preachers and pastors must take a stand in their churches for what is right. The value system of this country must be grounded, as it once was, in the Word of God. As a people, we are heading down the broad road that is leading to the destruction of this country. We cannot want peace and happiness but do everything that goes against it.
We cannot have gun control or gun safety on our streets when in just about every home there are violent video games being played. Arguments between the kids about who killed the most people in the games. We are teaching our kids to kill starting in the home by letting them play these games. We have kids who will not obey their parents and do what they want to do. When there is no respect in the home how can there be respect for other people? We did not get to this place overnight and we will not stop this violence overnight. But we must start by not only following the laws of this great country but we must take heed and follow God’s Laws

We don't need a society of vandals
