The Workings of Congress

 For too long the tax payers and citizens in this country have been too contented about the workings of Congress and how they operate. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, for the rest of their life’s, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they purposely exempted and excused themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinarycitizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered...in all of its forms. Somehow,that doesn't seem logical or rational. We do  not have an elite that is above the law. They think they are the cream of the crop. We must truly not care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.  There should be no one above the laws of this country

The Clueless Obama!

While at my neighborhood Wal Mart I saw a Boy throw a empty soda can on the parking lot. A person that was passing by said to the boy: "Hey, pick that up." The boy, with a straight face, stood his ground and he said, "I just created a job here Mr." Someone would be hired, the boy said, to pick up the trash, and it would be good for the economy.
DON”T LAUGH! That boy most likely works for the Obama administration and that is no laughing matter. That should be a page out of his book!
Did you know that our Congress is now taking into consideration another "stimulus" package. But did the administration's previous one work? NO! Of the 787 billion dollar stimulus package, President Obama said it would "save or create" 3.5 million new jobs. Has it? The answer is again NO!
Most businesses in the private sector will tell you that the stimulus package did not work. Seventy-three percent said the employment at their companies was neither higher nor lower as a result of the stimulus package. Wasted tax payers dollars by a man who has never run a business let alone a country.
"President Obama's economic recovery package has actually hurt the economy more in the long run than if he did nothing. " What do normal, regular, real-world people think? In December 2009, a Rasmussen poll asked likely voters whether the "stimulus" helped, hurt or did nothing. I agreed with the private-sector economists, the stimulus package did not work, and it did more damage than it helped
5,000 people were asked these questions. Here are the answer to those questions. Do housing restrictions increase the price of housing? The answer is yes. Whether the restrictions are good or bad is another issue. But restrictions on any commodity, such as food, shelter, clothing, electric, or you name it. increase the price of that commodity — No matter what it is. Do minimum wages increase unemployment? The answer is NO!. Whether one accepts this as a worthy trade-off is a separate question. The lefties blames the economic crumpling of this nation on " greediness," and “self-indulgence” by the rich while they close their eyes and pay no attention to the role the federal government had in all this.
Obama wants to find "whose ass to kick." About the oil spill in the Gulf. He's called for a suspension and freeze on new offshore drilling. But answer this question: Why do we drill offshore for oil that is more than a mile deep? Drilling in shallow water is already off-limits This is pushing companies to take out oil from more unsafe and hazardous places? Should we take another look at the restrictions on clean nuclear power.
So , Mr Obama, in the search for "ass to kick," start with your own and the liberal democrats in congress who has put all the dangers there. You can never have restrictions to the point of losing it all.

Is There Hope For Our Republic?

Can the ideals, the principles, the ethics, and the morals which sparked the framers of our Republic ever be rekindled and renewed? Is there still a spark of that " spirit which activates and get going the people of America" left in our country today? Or is the living spirit and real meaning of free government lost to the American people forever? And are we destined to live in a "representative democracy" for the rest of our days? In other words the majority rules. Sad  to say with this present administration it looks pretty much like we are. We are headed for a communist form of government real fast. For those of you who are offended by the word communist just insert the word socialism in its place. It is all the same thing. We have a president and congress that are fast stripping the American people of all their freedoms and are trying to put us on a big plantation where they will be the masters and everything that we need will have to come from them. Will we have a republic left by the time a new administration comes into office? Will there be a new administration? Will there be an America, as we know it, left?
Time alone will tell the outcome and the answer to that question. There is one thing is certain. We will never live in a real Republic until the great majority of our fellow citizens come to understand and appreciate what self-government is really all about. We must realize that the people should control the government and not the other way around. There are still Americans who still cherish the ideal of a true republican government. We are not speaking of the Republican party here, but a Republic that is based on the ideas and beliefs of limited authority, individual liberty, and personal responsibility – These Americans, which I’m proud to be one, eagerly hope and pray that the word, Republic, will soon be restored to its former glory. Our daily lives, as Americans, should shine as glowing examples of our country, our republic, and all the great things it stands for. Unfortunately we have a president who is apologizing for everything that America stands for and has fought for. Every American should learn what that stained, uncared for, ignored, and neglected word (Republic), really and truly mean.

Reflections on my America, July 4, 2010

I was blessed to be an American technologist through the best years in the history of mankind, a time when human knowledge and American prosperity went ballistic. The 20th century will be known as the American Century. I lived it and was privileged to work on projects and products that changed the world. We loved our country and proudly said, “God Bless America.”

We’re told those years are behind us. Now we have a Government that passes bills they’ve not read, legislation is written behind closed doors, sometimes written by organizations (far) outside our government. Congress does it knowing we don’t want this, ignoring our protests and letters. Science is corrupted with Federal money to serve political ends; votes are bought with earmarks and coercion. Capitalism is demonized, major industries are nationalized, and the media is silent.

Is it surprising that Americans want to get our country back? To accomplish this, the best path is to remember what made us great. Our “Greatest Generation” knew, but neglected to teach us. Our schools turned politically correct and focused on other things. What was it that made America different from any other nation in the history of the world? What made America the bastion of freedom, the land of prosperity, and the world leader in science and innovation?

What made us proud? The correct answer is our history and form of government. We’ve forgotten who we are and how we got that way. Only if we can get that back can we return to greatness.

Where should we start? With our own Declaration of Independence and Constitution. By studying our own history and culture. The solution to our problems is found there, not in Washington.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

The key points are simple truths:

• All citizens are created equal under the law. Not legislated to be equal, but created equal.

Americans are free to evolve and to fulfill their own dreams. The American Dream is one of freedom and opportunity, not a mandated equality of outcomes where some Government Czar or “Handicapper General” punishes those with talent, ability, education, common sense, and a work ethic so as to benefit those without. This God-given Liberty includes the freedom to fail.

Failure has proven a good teacher and capitalistic success a motivator. Americans are free to better our lot in life, and, until now, every generation has. “Obama jobs” (~ 95% are with the census) are socialism, not real, sustainable jobs. True capitalism lets failed firms to go bankrupt, because bailouts or Crony Capitalism punishes success and wastes tax dollars.

America is the exact opposite of Communism and its softer form, Socialism. That system preaches “social justice” under the guise of equality. Marx said, “To each according to their needs, from each according to their ability.” It sounds good, but has never worked anywhere. At best, there are bureaucrats, serfs, elites, crushing taxes, and rules. At worst, gulags, wars, and slaves.

• Rights come from God, from our creator, not from the government. This is key, because “rights” granted by the government can be taken away. American rights are unalienable, and these are life, liberty and the pursuit of “Happiness.” (More in a minute on that.)

This is only possible under a Republic. Democracies are nice, but that’s not ever what America was. Nowhere in our Constitution or Declaration of Independence will you find the world “Democracy.” Our founders worked to craft a Republic with layers of checks and balances that would ensure that power stayed with the people as a God Granted Right. We move away from this only at great peril. When leaving the Constitutional Convention, Ben Franklin was asked, “What have you given us?” His answer: “A Republic, ma’am, if you can keep it.”

Democracies historically have the life span of fruit flies. They die young and end badly. (See this video clip for why.) Our founders crafted a Republic to survive morons and demagogues. Here in America, a Republic unlike any other in history, just power is by and for the people.

I had a rewarding career in science-based innovation. I worked hard and thought I knew why I was successful, but only in the past month have I learned what really allows Yankee ingenuity. It comes from one word in our Declaration of Independence, “Happiness.” I wasn’t taught that.

In the time of our Founders happiness meant being happy, but it also meant “happenstance,” a chance occurrence. The notion of writing this into the core foundations of our nation shook the world. Their idea was that if you gave citizens FREEDOM and motivation, they would learn to seize opportunity, better themselves, and this would serve both self-interest and society. It worked, but we’ve forgotten. Until we remember our true history, we are lost.

Thirty years ago, Milton Friedman, the Nobel Laureate Economist, said: “A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both.” Almost as important he said, “Political freedom means the absence of coercion of a man by his fellow men. The fundamental threat to freedom is power to coerce, be it in the hands of a monarch, a dictator, an oligarchy, or a momentary majority.”

In America we’ve been blessed, so far, with freedom: a Bill of Rights and system of government to preserve them. If we understand this, we can return to prosperity. But time is short. We have an Administration that overtly seeks to end this and “transform” us, one that prepares laws and rules to selectively restrict the freedom of speech. When you buy a copy of the Constitution today, it may come with a legal disclaimer or trivializing preface.

Action: American renewal. To keep our freedom and return to prosperity we need to study our history, our Founding Fathers, and our Constitution. We can replace Congress and Obama, but it will make no difference in the long run if we don’t regain this knowledge and understanding.

Things to help our American freedoms survive until November

The agenda is to attack citizens on all fronts to build more “big government” and strip more freedoms. After they lose in November, the Obama veto will prevent his onerous legislation from being rolled back. For now, like America after Pearl Harbor, we must focus on defense. One says:

“In the past I have heard of liberals collectively called ‘the hive’ because they all seem to be in sync with the same (hidden) agenda, seemingly turning this way and that simultaneously like schools of bait fish, without any apparent signaling. (Did you ever read Crichton's book Prey?) I have observed that they now seem to be operating on every front, apparently in hopes that we cannot counter all their initiatives. We are doing a decent job knocking out many of the big ones but they are starting more and more of them and doing so quietly, when the news won't pick them up. I think the new operative label is ‘the swarm.’”

Action: The First and Second Amendments, free speech and gun rights, must be defended.

• HR 5175 Selectively Silences American Opinion: Obama Moves to Silence Gun Groups, small business, Conservative Groups, and Other Political Opponents.” (NRA-ILA, so far, gets a Pelosi pass.) AmeriCorps quietly started a media division (The Obama Network?), and a “stimulus” for news media is proposed.

• As the editors of The Wall Street Journal put it: "FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski did their dirty work ... he plans to reclassify broadband lines so his agency can regulate them under rules that were written for Ma Bell in the 1930s. This means subjecting the Internet to new political supervision from the federal government and 50 state public utility commissions. The goal is to put one more industry under Washington's political thumb.”

Action: We can roll back ObamaCare. Congress accidentally eliminated its own coverage.

Action: Cap and Trade, the rationing and taxation of Energy, justified by fear mongering, the UN, false science, propaganda, shakedowns, money, and government blunders, must be blocked.

If you check Obama’s last trip overseas. His wife left just after their visit to France, as stated below. She has yet to accompany him to any Arab country. Think about it. All pieces of the puzzle.
I was at Blockbusters renting videos, and as I was going along the wall, there was a video called “Obama”. There were two ARAB men next to me. We talked about Obama. I asked them why they thought Michele Obama headed home following her visit in France, instead of traveling on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They told me she couldn’t go to Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Iraq!
I said “Laura Bush went to Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Dubai.” They said that Obama is a Muslim, and by Muslim law he would not be allowed to bring his wife into countries that accept Sharia Law. I just thought it was interesting that two Arabs at Blockbusters accept the idea that we’re being led by a Muslim who follows the Islamic creed. They also said, that’s the reason he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. It was a signal to the Muslim world.
When I heard this it made sense to me, but there were also a couple blank spots. So, I sent it to a friend who is a Middle Eastern Scholar and expert, Dr. Jim Murk.
Here is his explanation that states a little more clearly what the Arabs at Blockbuster were saying.
“An orthodox Muslim man would never take his wife on a politically oriented trip to any nation which practices shari’ah la, which includes Saudi Arabia.  That is why Obama left Michelle in Europe, or at home, when he went to Arab countries.  He knows Muslim protocol; this included his bowing to the Saudi king. 
Obama is regarded as a Muslim in these countries simply because he was born to a Muslim father.  Note that he has downplayed his Christianity–even spoke of his Muslim faith with George Stephanopoulos –by not publicly joining a Christian church in D.C., but simply attending the chapel or services at Camp David.  He also played down the fact that the United States is a Christian country and said, unbelievably, that it was one of the largest Muslim nations in the world, which is nonsense!  He has also publicly taken the part of the Palestinians in the conflict with Israel.  Finally, he ignored the National Day of Prayer.  He is bad news.  He is God’s judgment on America .”

Thus once again ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. Check out the Obama’s and the chess game they are playing with our future, they are putting the pieces in place.  Check out his cabinet appointments, his Czars, his representative to the Muslim world, who just happens to be a Muslim and favors terrorists (truth, it was on the news just two days ago, his name is Rashad Hussain, look him up on Google).  These are just a few examples.
We have always been Israel’s biggest ally, and now Obama almost never mentions them(even to weigh in on the newest conflict over holy sites) and when he does, he tries to get them to compromise towards the Palestinians.  What many people don’t realize is that God has blessed us as a nation, because we have always blessed Israel, and that was part of God’s promise…but remember the other part of God’s promise was that he would curse those who cursed Israel.  If you believe in Scripture, then check out Genesis 12: 1-3
Some of the things going on in this administration would be considered treasonous years ago, but
because of the liberal shift in this great nation, people downplay these issues.  Oh, they may be very subtle and clever, but watch out for the destruction of our country from within. It may take
years for it to happen, but it will happen if we don’t turn it around.  Get educated about what’s
going on and open your eyes.

Is it Rubber Legs or ?

Is it rubber legs or a determined man that wants this country dismantled that makes Obama they way he is when he apologizes for our country. I do not claim to be a very educated man but even I can see with open eyes what is going on here. The willful destruction of America.

The president of the United States spends too much time and energy putting down our country, the country he supposedly represents and has give a oath to protect. It becomes more plain ever passing day. To make things more clear: The country he represents is not only "his" country but it's my country and the country of all citizens that live here. It is his obligation to support and defend this country and defend the Constitution and our freedoms, but is he doing that? In my opinion he is not. He degrades and put the United States down, and apologizes for what he sees this country has done over the decades. He never sees the good, only the bad.

If you were to listen to Barrack Obama, the United States is just one country among many and of those, neither special in any way nor unique. If you would listen to him he would tell you, as he tells the Muslim world, The United States is no longer a Christian nation and then says we are the largest Muslim nation in the world. Where is this man coming from? Or better yet where is he trying to lead our nation?

Sorry, Mr. Obama, you are wrong when you say those kind of things, and you are betraying the hundreds of thousands of Americans who have put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms, at home and to secure freedom for millions across the world. Why is it and what is the matter with you, as our president, that you downplay that part of our history? What is the matter with Obama that he treats so lightly those lives, that were, sacrificed for our freedom and his freedom?

Given, the fact, what has happened in this country over the last weeks concerning illegal aliens in the State of Arizona, Obama has put his cards are on the table. If you are honest with your self you can plainly see what is on his mind. The American citizens are not stupid or are they dumb.. They can see what's going on. Their president is siding with a foreign nation and justifying the massive disregarding of our laws and our border security.

Obama has sided, out in the open for the country to see, with the president of Mexico, who is "outraged and indignant” that at least one of the United States of America, The State of Arizona, says it wants federal law enforced concerning illegals sneaking into this country and trashing their state and land. They want help in stopping all the illegal smuggling of drugs and human flesh. They want help with all the crime and murder committed by the illegal Mexicans. Yes It is the illegal Mexicans and I'm not sorry that I'm not “political Correct” with that statement. Arizona has asked for help several times to stop the mayhem there caused by these illegal Mexicans and Obama does not even have the decency to answer the calls of Arizona's Governor for help, but sides with a loud mouth, arrogant, foreigner that would like to see the western states as part of Mexico.

Instead of Obama, who is our leader (what a joke) supporting one of his own states and telling the foreign president that it's none of his business that Americans want our borders respected, the man who is president and sits over the highest office in this land sides with the foreigner. It is the dismantling of this country that Obama wants. He wants to tear it apart, state, by state, and our constitution with it. What an unbelievable outrage. What an insult and slap in the face to all Americans that we have a president that will not stand up for this country and its people!

The Vacuum in Our Schools

Most ethnic studies programs in public schools are at the very best a waste of taxpayer money, and at worst racially and ethnically divisive indoctrination of our school kids. But the goal shouldn't be just getting rid of these programs, but ensure that public schools give all students a firm grounding in American history, culture, and government. This is being done away with little by little and it is wrong. We are losing our history as Americans.

In Arizona there is a program used that gives ethnic studies courses for Hispanics, blacks, Asians, and Native Americans. Critics of the program claim that the courses, especially those aimed at Mexican Americans, have become forums for political propaganda. And the school districts' own website provides evidence the critics are right in what they are saying.

Tucson's program, follows a similar pattern of turning facts around. According to a series of articles in the Arizona Republic last year, videos posted on line showed Tucson Chicano Studies classrooms decorated with "heroes" such as Fidel Castro, the communist dictator who ruled for nearly 50 years and single-handedly turned Cuba into one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere; Ernesto "Che" Guevara, an Argentine revolutionary who served in Castro's regime, ordering the deaths of thousands of innocent Cubans and personally executing more than 180 men; and Pancho Villa, a common criminal whose escapades were more about enriching himself than freeing Mexico. This gallery of thugs most certainly won't help Mexican-American students understand anything about the role of Mexican-Americans in U.S. history, which is how such programs are often sold to an unsuspecting public. Here a little and there a little we as Americans are losing our country to underhanded people.

For years, the teaching of American history, in our schools has become a system in the name of identity politics, divvying up slots in the historical assemblage to different groups: blacks, Latinos, women, gays. We've raised minor characters to major roles in American history if they fit the right ethnic or gender profile and dropped leading figures of the American founding fathers, the Civil War, and modern history. In the process, we've forgotten about teaching what it means to be an American — what is unique and trans formative in American. We are losing what America is all about.

Now, more than ever, we need to energize the teaching of American history — the nation's ideals, principles, its political and legal system — and not just for the sake of the millions of newcomers to our country. Indeed, U.S.-born children of all racial and ethnic groups receive precious little education in American history in our schools, which undermines their ability to understand and defend democratic principles of this republic.

The problem is not just getting rid of divisive ethnic studies programs; it's figuring out what replaces them. Legislatures around the country should put in place rigorous standards that ensure that all students will study American history, government, and culture throughout their public school education. We've created an emptiness in our public schools that gets filled with all sorts of nonsense and dangerous programs that is endangering our kids.. It's time we fill it with something worthwhile. Let them once again learn about our forefathers, our history as a nation, the constitution, and the Bill Of Rights. Let them once again learn what our brave soldiers have fought and died for.

Israel In The Cross Hairs

IIn 1948 The tiny nation of Israel had its beginning and ever since then Muslin extremist have tried their best to wipe the tiny nation off the map and it is a on going battle every day. In a interview before his death President Harry Truman was asked by a reporter what he will remember the most about his presidency. His answer was his part in the beginning of the State of Israel. It was not the dropping of the atomic bomb on Japan as most would think. How the highest office has changed since Truman.

Israel's minister of defense, Ehud Barak, told a news conference a few hours after the new flotilla incident, "On one of the six ships, the protesters make the first  move of violence. The full responsibility, for what is going on right now  rests on the organizers of the flotilla and those participants who acted violently." This was a planned operation to discredit the Israelis. Theirs is plenty more tying  to those boats called the “Gaza flotilla” and to its efforts in support of radicals and terrorist organizations, that we will never hear about but if you have half a brain you get the picture just like I do.

President Obama said it is important to learn "all the facts and circumstances" behind the incident before reaching conclusions. The facts and circumstances are already known. What make believe world does he live in? It is a fact that those trying to break Israel's blockade of Gaza hate and wish to destroy Israel. And any circumstance will be created or used to achieve that objective. Who knows what was really on those ships. We are only told what the Obama news wants us to hear, and Obama taking a wait and see attitude is a joke. He needs to stand behind our supporters ( Israel) but he will not. In the end he will come down on Israel and bless the Gaza Hate groups. That is his Muslim nature. Americans everywhere should be glad that Israel is not gutless, like the president we have now.

We've seen this scenario before and surely will see it again, and again, and again, unless and until the world wakes up to the problems that under lie that region of the world .clashes which too many people want to ignore, are just hoping that they will go away. It won't until every last Muslim terrorist is gone.

To me it sure looks like a coincidence that within hours of Israel's commando raid on a flotilla of ships bound for Gaza -- ships supposedly containing "humanitarian supplies," and left-wing "peace activists" -- that demonstrations broke out in Europe and outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington? And how about the U.N. Security Council, which often acts in slow motion, except when it has the opportunity to criticize Israel. It sprang into action on Memorial Day to listen to haters of the Jewish state denounce Israel as if it already knew who was to blame for the nine civilian deaths and the many more that were wounded. The Council has now called for an "impartial" and "transparent" investigation. If it is the same transparency that Obama call transparency we will never know the truth. If the UN has anything to do with it Israel is in trouble because in that body of people on the East end Sewer  are people that want to see Israel gone, wiped off the face of the earth.

What has happen here is just like a re-run on TV? This happens all the time.  According to the familiar script, anything that the Palestinian side, Hamas, Iran and numerous other haters of Jews and Christians do is justified because of the Israeli "occupation" of "Palestinian land." When Israeli soldiers defend themselves from violent attacks by these "peace activists," they are always acting " excessively " and thus deserving of denunciation, censure and exclusion and banishment from the "world community." It would be so nice if the haters of Israel would direct some of that zeal to the real enemies of freedom and religious pluralism: radical Islam, but as we all know that will never happen in our life time.

The 1994 Gaza-Jericho agreement served as the basis for Israel's withdrawal from Gaza. In it, Israel was given authority to act precisely as it did on Monday.
