Democrats Lie And Mis-lead Again.

 There was an article in our local newspaper (The Star Democrat) on October 19, 2018, called (“Time for Plan B,”). The person who wrote the article stated that Senator McConnell who is a Republican indicates that the only way to cover the $1.5 trillion deficit created by the tax cut is to cut Medicare and Social Security. That statement is far from the truth and just another false statement to help the democrat cause.

First of all, at this point, it is not certain there will be a deficit as large as some of the Democrats say. But there again one lie is as good as the next This number or the estimated amount of deficit at best is speculation and a theory put forth by the Democrat Party for election purposes. Every day, as the election grows closer we see on liberal television stations many times during the day an advertisement run by Democrat State Senator Jennifer Wexton running against Barbara Comstock for U.S. Representative in Virginia that the Republicans are cutting Social Security and Medicare. This is a misleading statement which I would like to call an out and out lie! Something the Democrats are very good at.

It is misleading statements like this and others that have been reported by the Democrats as far back as 1992 when Ross Perot was running for president as an independent. The Democrats have worn this untrue comment about Social Security out long before now. Voters have seen through this kind of trickery already so they might want to get off of it.

The Washington Post reported the following this week

On Wednesday, McConnell told a group of reporters that he did not foresee an effort to cut Medicare and other programs under Trump, who has put Medicare and Social Security largely off limits. Trump himself said again in an Associated Press interview this week that “I’m not touching Social Security.”

But Democrats are telling voters that McConnell’s remarks signal plans for an all-out assault on the retirement and health care programs that millions of older and low-income Americans rely on. After Judge Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation process and Republicans’ attempts to go on offence over what they’ve characterized as liberal “mob rule,” Democrats jumped at the chance to redirect the conversation.  It is this kind of behaviour by the Democrats that are going to assure them that they are going to come up very short on Nov. 6. I believe the public has had more than enough of this distorted reporting by both the Democrat politicians and the mainstream media. Both are truly a threat to our country and as far as I am concerned are evil and news is no news at all when it is lies. I fully expect that the Republicans will hold on to their lead in the House and pick up between 6 to 8 seats in the Senate. If the Democrats thought the 2016 election results were a shock, they are very apt to be extremely shocked on the morning of Nov. 7.

A Free and Honest Press

Regarding the talk going around about trusting in the news media let me say this "The very future of our Republic is being threatened by their fake news. Sometimes they go beyond fake news to out and out lies.  It seems some in the news media take the free press to mean free to deceive, lie, malign, obscure, and confuse the truth. To slant their reporting to make it come out different. How do you explain such intense distrust in the news media by most Americans? Most news outlets claim a free press is essential to holding public figures and Government officials accountable. That is true but this is never the case unless your last name is Trump. When it comes to President Trump the mission of the press is not one of reporting the truth, but an abundance of printing lies and fake news. But these news agencies will cry foul and say the free press is being hindered from doing their job when they are told exactly what they are. 

Did the free press hold Obama accountable for his lies and Hillary's concerning Benghazi or how about the one "you can keep your doctor"? Did the free press hold Lois Lerner accountable for the shenanigans by the IRS? Did the free press hold Eric Holder accountable for drug running (Fast and Furious)? Did the free press hold Hillary accountable for classified materials on an illegal private server? In every case, the answer is no. But the press can be dishonest and not fair in their reporting about President Trump. Always trying to find fault in everything he does when in all honesty he is doing a great job for the American people. 

The free press has not only failed us too many times but several times have out and out lied to us. Most Americans want a free press but they want one that is honest and fair. One that will not take sides and will report the news straight down the middle without any bias and let the American people make their own informed decision. The free press (in other words the press that is still honest with their reporting) must clean its profession of all the bad news reporting before public trust is restored in the free press.

Let's change the terminology used here from a free press to a free and honest press, one that is necessary and crucial for a republic like ours. 

The Annapolis Tragedy

I read part of this article in THE STAR DEMOCRAT newspaper, in the letters to the editor section, and because it was such a good article I just wanted to add my thoughts to what was a  very good piece of writing by Craig Willis.

Thank heavens we live in Maryland, a state with some of the toughest gun control laws in the country. I for one feel much safer. Maryland is one of only six states to receive an A+ rating from the Gifford’s Law Center for its tough gun control laws. Yet these laws couldn’t prevent the recent tragedy in Annapolis where several newspaper reporters were killed by a shotgun toted by a man holding a grudge, our hearts go out to the victims and their families.

In the days just after the mass shooting at the newspaper in Annapolis, the media is almost silent, many of the papers not issuing follow-up stories as the facts of this case don’t support the left’s false narrative. As most Americans know most newspapers have sided with the left and their fake news. If you are a conservative you must search for the truth. In the STAR DEMOCRAT, the follow-up articles on shootings have been so unbelievable. Most of them talk about how newspaper reporters are right there with our police, firefighters, and soldiers in harm’s way. At one time that might have been so but now most of the papers are” fake news outlets” not giving you all the facts.

For example, any state like Maryland, with all these tough gun laws, is ineffective in stopping any of this senseless violence, but you hear nothing of this in the news. Baltimore was recently announced to be the most dangerous city in the country, having 135 gun-related deaths to date. Also, the Annapolis tragedy was enacted by a person who had a longstanding feud with the newspaper. Original reports by numerous left of center media outlets blamed President Trump due to his attacks on fake news! Now we find out that the gunman was entangled in a long-term legal feud with the paper and didn’t prevail in his lawsuit against them. But the left and the fake news outlets want to blame President Trump.

“Back in the day,” Cronkite, Reasoner, and Brinkley would have backed up their story with facts before airing any report, because, “that’s the way it was,” period.

Finally, this shooter used a shotgun, also not fitting the narrative that banning assault rifles is the Holy Grail of cures. Sad to say many a person feeds into this deceiving cure for all the gun problems thanks to the help of fake news.

Many Republican voters in the state of Maryland are now waiting to see which way Larry Hogan, the governor of Maryland goes related to siding with the left and creating and supporting even more stringent gun laws. These laws clearly only take constitutional rights away from law-abiding citizens. In November, regardless of your party affiliation, vote for the rule of law and preserving the Constitution

When is it UnAmerican

Our country was founded on principles that all men are created equal. Our founding fathers were visionaries and sought to assure all citizens the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, today we have groups that will deny others the right to life, deny others their liberty, and only think they themselves should be able to pursue happiness. Friends, so much of what I see in our country today crushes these values America was built upon.
When a senator can shed tears on the senate floor because there is a policy to vet refugees from terror sponsored countries but remains dry eyed when millions of innocent babies are murdered in the womb—that is un-American.
When our homeless go hungry while illegal aliens can come into this country and receive food stamps, welfare and shelter—that is Un-American
When our elderly must choose between eating or buying their medications while abortions and transgender surgeries are paid for with tax payer money—that is Un-American.
When our troops go without proper equipment while celebrities and athletes protest our country and national anthem—that is un-American.
When our veterans go without benefits that were promised but billions of dollars are given to countries that hate us—that is Un-American.
When Christian companies are forced to compromise their faith and values by serving same sex weddings while other businesses can say, “if you support traditional marriage, don’t shop here.”—that is Un-American.
When radical groups like BLM and anti fa can riot, burn cities and kill or injure people but citizens are prosecuted and persecuted for speaking out against them—that is Un-American.
When a black criminal disobeys law enforcement and is shot by police and there is a public outcry while police officers are shot everyday for doing their jobs and media is silent—that is Un-American.
When the media takes it upon itself to slant the news and tell us what to think instead of reporting the news and trusting us to decide for ourselves what to think—that is Un-American.
When liberal head explodes at the use of a word in describing a third world country while cities in this country resemble these third world countries and nothing is being done to improve the lives of citizens in these cities— that is Un-American.
When a political party would rather protect 8,000 illegal aliens than protect the citizens of this country and even go as far to threaten a government shut-down and deprive the elderly and military of their money— that is Un-American.
It appears that some of our leaders are more concerned about themselves and the special interest groups that has bought them  than the citizens that elected them and that is not only Un-American but unacceptable to the the citizens of this country that are counting on the leadership.
Friends, I have been told that, as a Christian, I should not be political. I am not a political person but what I see goes beyond politics. It is now about our survival as a country and the fabric of our way of life. I once read “All it takes for evil to spread is for good men to do nothing.” I am only trying to do my small part to stop the spread of evil.

Just The Facts

Remember the old TV program “DRAGNET” with Jack Webb? One of his famous lines was “Just the facts”. So let us deal with just the facts today in this article.

There are so many articles in the local newspaper lately about gun control that would make a person think that there is an agenda by the left to remove guns from this country. I never realized or knew how big this movement was until I read several different articles in the paper. There are never are any articles about pro-gun just anti Gun. People, especially teenagers, will protest without knowing all the facts, without even knowing why they are protesting. Some teenagers were asked what they were protesting and they could not even answer. They only protest what they hear or see and because other people are doing it, without ever checking the facts. These teenagers are better known as the Tide-Pod generation. It is called the dumbing down of our kids. Before they protest about anything, including guns, they should be required to study the Constitution of the United States.

For example, we had school kids all over the country [on a certain day] walking out of school protesting the recent shootings in schools. I wonder how many of these students would have protested if the protest were held not during school hours. The media was all over the story about kids walking out in protest but nothing was said about some kids in schools having a walk in instead of a walk out. What more can you expect from a liberal press? There was some difference of opinion over the issue of gun control and the violence caused by these shootings but the American people read only one side of the issue. How in just a short time could there have been such a walkout all across this nation? The answer is, it was planned and put into effect as soon as the school shooting happened by liberals and progressives who want to see the confiscation of guns in this country.

 At one school kids were so unruly during the walkout they destroyed an American flag which is all a part of the liberal agenda and then tried to assault a police officer. The very flag they destroyed represents the very means that allows them to protest.

They were protesting, if that was what you could call it, and most of them knew nothing of what they were protesting. By that I mean the deep roots of why they were protesting are not being brought to the front. I am not afraid to say there is a bigger issue behind all of this and it is not about gun violence. There was a picture in the paper of a girl holding a sign that said: “Eighteen Century laws can’t regulate 21st-century weapons”. Down through the history of this country, our constitution has done a pretty good job so far. What law or amendment does she want to go next? These signs are right out of the communist playbook. After the guns go the liberals will have the Holy Bible gone and their version will replace it.

How about the fact that there are 11 kids a day killed in this country a day because of texting on their cell phones while driving. That is over 4000 thousands kids a year being killed by texting and driving. I guess we should ban cell phones from kids and while we are at it automobiles too because they are part of the blame for this sad waste of human life. Another sign held by another kid said; ”we want education without fear of annihilation”. I also would like that same thing whenever I drive to the store or drive to church without the fear of being killed by a teenager texting while driving.

The sad truth here is most kids are being dumb down by a liberal agenda that are using gunning violence as a platform to promote their agenda. It is sad when liberals’ have to use our kids to promote their communist agenda. It is the liberals’ in this country that are trying to mobilize our kids for their cause. More time should be spent on teaching the history of this country and what it stands for. But what is happening is some of our histories is being deleted out of our history books and our school curriculum. What percentage of kids in this country even know what the Constitution is and what it stands for, sad to say a very few if any.

The issue is not about gun control. It is about controlling a nation of free people by taking away the only means of keeping ourselves free. Some people will laugh at that statement. But it is the truth. History is trying to repeat itself right in our backyards and most people cannot even see it. We only need to look at Russia, Germany, China, Cambodia, Cuba, and many other nations. Look at what happened to them. The guns were taken and then the real slaughter began. Millions were murdered because they protested the governments of these countries. This is the same road America is going down. A gentleman from Scotland wrote, to the local newspaper and said This; America has no need of people running around with guns. He also stated we have a most capable military to protect us. This is true. We have the finest military to protect us from all outside threats but not from the Trojan horse which is getting bigger in our country.  That is the reason for the second amendment and the reason for our Constitution.

Lastly, I read an article in the local paper about a church that was having a prayer vigil against gun violence. That may be fine, but the church [all churches] needs to go above and beyond this. The sad thing is their mind is dull and they are being deceived. Any Bible believing church knows there is more to be done than just a prayer vigil against gun violence. The roots of the problem go a lot deeper than gun violence. It is called THE SIN PROBLEM; which is an all-inclusive word for Rebellion against God and His Word. The history of the world, as eyed through the Bible and some other good history books, plainly show the fact that when God is in control the nation prospers and when God is not in control there is evil, violence, and every sin a person can imagine. My friends God is not in control of America. We have forsaken Him. We as a people have turned our backs on him and now we are reaping what we have sown.  America is now reaping for the killing of millions of unborn children in the womb, the removing of anything that pertains to God from our schools and government buildings, and the promoting of homosexual lifestyles in the schools and in government, which clearly are against God’s laws. Our government and sad to say most of our churches are falling short of preaching and upholding the truth and the Constitution of this country.

It is true that the United States is 3^rd in murders throughout the world, but if you remove Chicago, Washington, DC., Detroit, St. Louis, and New Orleans look what happens. The United States comes in at 189^th out of 193 countries in the entire world. And what is more amazing is the five cities mentioned here have the most strict gun control laws in the nation. Now please tell me about people wanting to pass more gun control laws. The true problem in this country is not the need for more laws. It is THE SIN PROBLEM.

The Truth About The News

For over 10 years I have been writing articles to my Blogs about the problems we are facing in America today. The English and grammar may not always be right. But for the most part, they are always received well and I always get many emails agreeing with the articles and then there are a few who disagree and want to put their own spin on the issue. That is okay too because I always believe in free speech and what people have to say. Everybody has a right to voice their concerns about their government, and the laws that govern our land.

I have said all that to say this. Not all the media is the same way. It only takes the average intelligent person to watch the news on TV to soon see that it is clearly one-sided and it is their opinion that counts and not yours. You might expect that out of major news networks but when it comes to your local hometown newspaper you would think they would be a little different but that is not so. There is an agenda in this country that is not what all Americans want.

I want to make a statement that will most likely get me in some trouble with a few readers. The liberal news media today is no news media at all. It is the enemy of the American people.  I have to agree with President Trump when he said; “we have fake news” because he was telling the truth. The lies, twisted truth, and invented news are all we ever hear. The liberal news media is just a mouthpiece for the socialist, progressives, communist, or to sum it up in one word, THE DEMOCRATS.  If communist ever took over this country then the liberal news media would see they can only print what they are told to print. But guess what that is already happening now!

We have a local newspaper and I have heard more than one person say (while sitting in the local McDonalds) that they just do not read the paper anymore because of their one-sided views and articles. Sad to say they are right. 75 to 80% are all liberal articles and follow the liberal agenda of dumbing down America.  The news media should print the story and let the people decide and not put their spin on it.

What really gets me is when you write an article to be published in the paper if you have the word “Jesus” in it you know that most of the time it will not be printed or if you say anything about the spiritual condition of this country it will not be printed. Jesus is not allowed in our schools, government buildings, public places, and now in our schools. We do not hear about Our Lord because it does not fit into the liberal agenda or the liberal newspapers, just like He did not fit into the platform at their convention some years ago when Obama was running for president.

A man once said you can learn more from what you do not read in a paper than what you do read in a newspaper and he is so right.

The Shameful Truth

The shooting in the school in Florida is not about gun control anymore. This is now about a complete and total failure at all levels of law enforcement, and the government that is responsible for protecting the American people. The FBI failed because they did not follow up on the tips and warnings provided. If they did this tragedy would have never happened. The local law enforcement failed because there were at least 39 calls for domestic trouble and other concerns that included threats. We now know and it has been confirmed that the School Resource Officer at the school, was armed, and did not do a thing to stop the massacre for at least four minutes. We also know now other police officers were there that did not go in. Police officers who have been in a gun battle know that within three to five seconds, innocent people start losing their lives if they do not take do not act and do something about it. The Broward County Sheriff’s Department failed to not only to protect the kids at the school but also to follow up on all those reports about the shooter. And let us not leave the Broward County School District out of the picture because they failed because they did not report the unusual and strange behavior of Cruz. There were so many signs and forewarning of his criminal behavior, his intent, and what they should have known was a possibility to happen and stopped it.

In this case, there were those police officers who were charged to protect who did not go above and beyond, as they were expected to do. They failed and displayed the worst kind of behavior. A police officer’s job is more than writing traffic tickets and wearing a uniform. When a man puts on a badge and is sworn in as a police officer it becomes a life of service, courage and selfless service, sacrifice, and a commitment to others — those are the values that all police officers should have and most do. The sad thing is there were no guardians for the high school in Florida and that should be the core of this discussion everyone is having about guns, Not gun control.

Facebook and Fake News

We have heard recently how so much fake news has been put on Facebook and so many people believe it before it is put to rest as lies. I have read a ton of them and try my best not to re post them. Just yesterday I saw were someone posted that Sylvester Stallone was dead and there was a ton of comments about it. In the end it turned out to be all lies. I just deleted it and keep on going. But just this week this kind of crap has hit home and I am so shocked.

Let me explain. My sixteen year old grandson had a two inch pen knife in his pocket, forgot to take it out of his pocket and went to school. He was suspended from school for that violation for five days. I can understand that. Even though my grandson would never hurt anyone, not even a animal, he was wrong even though he did it without even thinking. We all do things sometimes without thinking. But he was wrong and he even admits that and understands why he was suspended. He did his time so to speak and went back to school thinking this was behind him.

Now here lies the problem. A young lady who goes to the same school posted on her Facebook page that she was told, (did not know for a fact) that my grandson was going to stab people and he had a list of names to do this. She has over a 1000 friends who saw this post and it was then reposted.  Of course this was all lies. But because of the lie and the confusion it caused my grandson was not allowed to go on his class trip to New York. This was all because of the discord sown by this girl. None of it was the truth. He saved his money to go and was looking forward to this. Sowing discord and gossip has ruined a lot of innocent people. How do you take back something that you have said? You might say you are sorry but it is still said. The damage is done.

My daughter in law took the grand kids to the library to do some research and my grandson was jumped by a group of kids accusing him of being a shooter. My daughter in law came around the corner and stopped it. She was told by the kids involved that she did not like black people because she stopped them from harassing my grandson.All this because of a fake post.

My grand kids were homed schooled up until last year and were never subjected to this kind of abuse during their lives. My grandson is having a hard time understanding all this. The grandkids are raised in church, have Bible study, prayer in the home every day and would harm nobody but you can see what gossip and lies will do.  All my grandson wanted was to go to a school with other kids, and now he really sees how that is working out. This girl posted all this following the school shootings in Florida which adds fuel to the lie.

Now my question is this; If my grandson was suspended from school for a violation against school policy what is the school going to do about this girl who posted all these lies. My son and daughter-in- law are going to the school today and withdrawing all the kids and are starting home school again. But they are also going to demand that this girl who spread all these lies make a public apology on Facebook for the rumors she started. I know this will never happen but at least they are going to try.

I think the problem lies here. When you do not dress like other kids, wear your pants below your butt, do not talk the talk, and every other word that comes out of your mouth is a fowl word then you become a odd ball and then you are targeted. I am not saying my grandson is a saint but he sure is not what this girl has broadcast. He is a Christian, a conservative in his thinking and has a deep love for this country. His goal was to graduate and go into the military to serve his country.

The bigger question is this; who will be the next target of this girl. When will it stop? My grandson will not have to be subject to this kind of lies and bullying because he has a mother who can finish his home schooling, But my question is this; what about the kids who will have to go to the school and will be next on the hit list.
