The Great Mystery

If Obama Runs again
What if Obama decides to run for office again. Would we demand it to be different this time? Would the American public let some issues slide that should have been made public in the first election? I would hope not. Obama was a person elected to the highest office in our land. He ran his campaign on transparency and said that is the way his presidency would be “Transparent”. This was far from the truth even before he was elected. His birth certificate should have been made public for all to see as it is required by the laws of this country. What is the reason why this all important document was not made public? Where is the transparency of the Obama presidency here? There can be nor is there any honest or simple explanation for concealing his birth certificate from the American public. In the history of the Republic there has never been any president that would not make public his birth certificate or any other document that was required for them to seek the office of the president. What makes Obama any different? Obama should go through a verification process, the same as all the other presidents of this country, if he chooses to run for another term.
Therefore, even if he acts Un-American and seems to go against American interests, he's still has a right to be president if he can prove where he was born. Obama could solve this problem and make some people back off by simply showing ... his long form birth certificate, which he will no do. This leads me and many other people across this nation to believe he has something to hide. If he did not have something to hide he should even at this late date come forth with it. That would truly show that his presidency is, as he said it would be, transparent. He's spent an awful lot of money to keep people from seeing the birth certificate. ... I think it has to do with something else." what is he trying to hide?
It should be pointed out, the irony of Obama's campaign on "transparency" and "accountability" and his subsequent refusal to "disclose even the simplest form" proving his ability to meet constitutional requirements of a president. Those demands include the president be a "natural born" citizen, which the American public still does not know. WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible for the Office of President." There are some lawsuits, before the courts, that question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, most of the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time. We will never know this.
Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.
Complicating the situation is Obama's decision to spend sums estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to avoid releasing a state birth certificate that would put to rest all of the questions. Once again I ask the question, WHY. Where is the transparency?

Also among the documentation not yet available for Obama includes kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, His Columbia thesis,Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.
The birth certificate posted on line, during the election and widely proclaimed as "Obama's birth certificate" does not in any way prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same "short-form" document is easily obtainable for children not born in Hawaii. The true "long-form" birth certificate – which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician – is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny. Once again I ask why. Oddly, though congressional hearings were held to determine whether Sen. John McCain was constitutionally eligible to be president as a "natural born citizen," no controlling legal authority ever sought to verify Obama's claim to a Hawaiian birth. If Obama runs for office again it must be demanded of him to produce his birth certificate.

Re: "There has never been any president that would not make public his birth certificate or any other document that was required for them to seek the office of the president."

Obama was the first, and so far is the only, US president to make his birth certificate public.

He has posted, and shown to both Politifact and FactCheck, the official birth certificate of Hawaii, which is the only birth certificate that Hawaii now sends out. It no longer sends out copies of the original (http://www.starbulletin.com/columnists/kokualine/20090606_kokua_line.html). The facts on the birth certificate were twice confirmed by the officials in Hawaii (members of a Republican administration), and their spokeswoman said clearly and without question that the files mean that Obama was born in Hawaii (http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/11/obama_hawaaianborn_citizen_for.html)

This is what the Wall Street Journal commented :

"Obama has already provided a legal birth certificate demonstrating that he was born in Hawaii. No one has produced any serious evidence to the contrary. Absent such evidence, it is unreasonable to deny that Obama has met the burden of proof. We know that he was born in Honolulu as surely as we know that Bill Clinton was born in Hope, Ark., or George W. Bush in New Haven, Conn."

Not true. You cannot obtain a Hawaiian birth certificate that says on it "born in Hawaii" (or born in any part of Hawaii) if you were not born in Hawaii.

Obama's birth certificate says clearly that he was born in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii.

Moreover, the officials in Hawaii say clearly and without question that he was born in Hawaii, and their is even a witness who recalls being told of his birth in Hawaii in 1961 (http://www.buffalonews.com/494/story/554495.html).
