READ THE SMALL PRINT: Not The News Flashes

It's puzzling to me and I cannot understand how Obama manages to keep his approval ratings. Obviously, his charisma and a news media that is 90 percent supportive has to make a difference and manages to mesmerize a willing public. But after a while people have to wake up to what is happening. Yesterday, I paid $3.68 for a gallon of gas. On Jan. 20, 2009, it was $1.83. That is a big difference folks. The news media glows and pats Obama on the back and tells its viewers and readers the unemployment rate is down to 8.7 percent from 10 percent. Everybody, apparently, has forgotten that we used to view very seriously the unemployment rate if it got over 5 percent. And I'm sure the unemployment figures are not true. Just look around and get a good look see.

The construction of the Keystone pipeline, which was to pump oil from Canada to Texas, has been delayed until after the November election. The president has done this so he won't aggravate the environmentalists who happen to also be large contributors to his campaign. As a result, 20,000 potential construction jobs have been lost. Now the Canadians are considering building the pipeline to the Pacific, so they can ship the oil to China, and the U.S. will lose out completely. I believe Obama is doing this on purpose, because no leader would let the people do without jobs or gas. The problem is he wants it his way or no way. Makes no differences what the American people want or what congress wants, it will be his way or else.

The president's current budget is $1.3 trillion off balance. The 2013 budget is out of balance by $900 billion. It is so bad that even willing Sen. Harry Reid will not bring it up for consideration. that should tell the people something right there.  Does the president not recognize the danger of our reckless spending? I summit he does recognize it and it all goes back to it will be his way or nothing at all. Since his election, 39 months ago, the deficit has risen by $4 trillion. What, in the world, are the American people thinking. Start reading the small print, not just the news flashes.
