I went back and read some or the changes that Obama wants: He said last July 2008: "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." Now if you were living during the time of World War Two that statement ought to ring a bell.
Georgia Rep. Paul Broun officially apologized to the people that he represents for comments he made concerning Barack Obama's proposed future civilian security force. Broun compared it to those of a Marxist dictator. If you really look into this through the eyes of history you will see that he is right. I read over Broun's remarks very carefully. Rep. Broun associated the past historical facts concerning the use of internal security services by both the Nazis and the Soviets pretty truthfully. After reading this and doing some of my own investigating I think that this man had nothing to apologize for. If you read about Hitler's Youth you will see the agenda is no different. As an American does this not scare you?
Rep. Broun said, "That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did." Broun also said, "When he's proposing to have a national security force that's answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he's showing me signs of being Marxist." He was also right in that statement. Where he got into trouble with certain people was when mentioned Hitler and Obama in the same sentence.
Broun was right away denounced as a "far right nut job" by the liberal left with editorials and articles calling for everything from his prosecution to being put into a mental hospital. It sounds like he accidentally revealed another comparison to the political environment of past dictatorships.
Maybe Broun is a far right nut job and all that, but the fact is, he is right about this issue! Both Hitler and Stalin organized Para-military security forces loyal only to them – and immediately denounced any who dared criticize the plan. I don't know what Obama has in mind in the U.S., but a Para-military civilian force as powerful, as strong and as well-funded as a nation's military is not what we need in this country. We have a strong Army and a well organized National Guard. Having a Para military force that answers only to him is scary to say the least. That does not sound like something that should be in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Obama's website said his civilian force will "require" middle school students to participate. Whether Rep. Broun is nuts or not I do not know, but I hardly think so. He sees the similarities the same as I do. Hitler also required middle school students to join his student army, known as the Hitler Youth. So what is next Obama Youth? One of Obama's aids, a Mr. Rahm said the following, "There will be a body of people who will be ready, trained, and capable. Ready, capable and trained for what? Finish the sentence Mr. Rahm. Rep. Broun saw some disturbing historical similarities here and so do I. Does this mean that we will soon have a nation of spies that oversees their neighbors? One last question for you to think about: Why is this group only going to be answerable to Obama? Think about it.
